I won a heap a couple of years ago when Judd won at 26-1 cos I backed him each way, Ablett each way AND those two as a quinella.

At various stages early on this season I backed Scott Thompson, Sam Mitchell & Andrew Swallow all each way, although right now I don't think any of them will actually win it.

Watson, Ablett leading with Beams & Murphy to be up there too. People often forget players good starts to the season. Murph was favorite for a bit. If he comes back and gets 8 or 9 votes in the last six or so games he will go close. Good to get on EACH WAY now.

I have won money on brownlow last 4 seasons with numerous multis etc into premierships and colemans. Absolutely for Watson. I was considering putting 500 on Watson this week at $4.00, but im going to hold off and hope he has a few average games so he blows out. He will poll 25 plus easy. Forget North in brownlow. No one from us deserves to win it this year. I had 50 on Swallow at start of year at $67.00. I Was hoping he would poll 10 votes between the 2 GWS and 2 GC games but nah. Wells polled terribly last year, but will poll sympathy votes this year after he didn't pole many last year plus his injury last year so expect him to take votes off Swallow this season and poll between 10 and 18 votes, but he won't win overall.

A good bet is- wait until close to the Brownlow when they bring out most team votes. I epect Swallow to be around $1.33 and Wells $4.00. Wells could be a great bet this year to get most team votes.

Haven't seen much kudos to the 20 minutes that Wellsy played before he went off. In that time he set up Lachie's opening goal, assisted another one to Cruize and kicked one himself.

He had 5 kicks and 2 handballs (100% efficiency), 2 marks, 2 goal assists.

I follow Ted Hopkins' new rating system (www.tedsport.com.au) where he rates possession and disposal based on how much pressure you are under when you win the ball and how much pressure your disposal puts on the opposition. In 20 minutes Wellsy accumulated 53 rating points, to give you an idea the top 2 rated players on the ground were Bellchambers 160 and Sam Wright 158 who both played over 110 minutes.
