difference is that wells injury was very minor, it would not surprise me at all if he plays in 2 weeks time against freo
didn't look too bad to me, the medical staff say one week and they have been spot on all year, no reason to doubt them nowFor a minor calf he didn't look too good coming off the ground.
Every medical team is "elite" man....including Hawthorn's.i'll back our elite medical staff to get him ready for the freo game

???Website has just posted that both Wells and Grima are available this week. Shenanigans?
Bloody hell. I mis-read unavailable as available. My mistake.???
it says wells will miss one week and grima will miss up to 2
They reckon Wells 1 week with a calf, which sounds a bit optimistic for me but never know. Grima up to 2. They don't sound too bad but I wouldn't be rushing anyone back to play GWS.
Neither would I, but you'd definitely want them to have a run before finals. Don't want people not match fit for the biggest match of the year

I don't think you lose match fitness over a period of 2-3 weeks.
Are there degrees to the level of damage to a calf? With Wells it sort of looked like a bump to it initially rather than a strain.
The way he signaled to the bench when he first did it, it looks much more serious than a one weeker.
If only signals to the bench could finally be given the scientific credibility they deserve over MRI scans, Xrays and other forms of stringent examination. Think how much money we would save on medical bills.
Exactly. The signal to the bench merely suggested he felt something twinge. But no way does it say anything about the actual damage to the muscle. If only signals to the bench could finally be given the scientific credibility they deserve over MRI scans, Xrays and other forms of stringent examination. True, but 3 weeks should do it.Good on ya
He told them before he got off the ground he was out for the game. Calf injuries aren't easy to recover from.
STAR midfielder Daniel Wells could return from his calf injury for North Melbourne's vital clash with Fremantle on Sunday, but key defender Nathan Grima will miss at least another week with hamstring tendonitis.
