Front and centre.
Hit the pack at pace.

There’s a spot in the side begging, BEGGING to be taken and he has shown ****.

I’ve accepted that he’s shit and it doesn’t irk me during the game as much.

If he plays next week we’re kidding ourselves. God what would Sydney’s defence do to him ffs

I understand that he does a power of pressure and tactical work, but Jesus Christ Nathan, GET IN THE ******* GAME!
A Power of Pressure Work you say? 12 Pressure Acts and 1 Tackle against the GC. Last week Pressure Applied by Hrovat wasn't great either. Needs to pull his finger out and in a hurry. :stern look

Ben McKinley
Cameron Richardson
Jordan Gysberts
Matthew Scott
Max Warren
Farren Ray

peak richardson had elite endurance and good pace, could carry the ball and break the lines, shame injuries really killed him before he got going in the afl.
mckinely beautiful long and accurate kick.

good call on scott, warren and ray although scott never made it to the afl.

I don't disagree with your call on Hrovat FWIW

It's more of an indictment on our drafting

Thank God we turned it around with Higgins Waite Jacobs etc

I really do think there are better options than Hrovat in our seconds

Look, I quite like Hrovat as a player. He was pretty good last year and does everything pretty well, without having an absolute elite attribute. He's solid and no doubt plays a reliable role in team structure. He's got neat skills, generally uses it ok, and doesn't make too many mistakes. And he seems to have a good head on his shoulders.
He was dropped earlier in year as his form was average and it seemed surprising he won a recall on more indifferent VFL form.
On return he has again no doubt played a role, but he just isn't able to impact offensively, highlighting a bigger problem with our small forwards.
He's kicked two goals in six games and we need more from our defensive forwards. Turner has kicked five, Simpkin has eight (mainly been playing up field) and Shaun Atley has 11 (but has been goalless in half his games).
26 goals from four small forwards in 14 games.
It's all very well to try to emulate Richmond's success with a small forward line and we've been forced into it by injuries to Waite and Wood, but it's hard to see it working. We just don't have small forwards who kick goals at the moment.
If Nathan is to be a regular surely he has to find a way to get a goal a game, I think Boomer would still kick 2 a week because he had the gift of goal awareness and would be very effective at the feet of Brown.
