That's all great, but it surely doesn't mean winning by 3 points Laidley style. It's the 1990s domination that we're after, and for Scott to rebuild the side and get it to that level he needed to become more attacking and ruthless. Isn't that what we are starting to see now? High scoring, high intensity, attacking footy with plenty of contested ball?

Now we are winning, OS is just trying to justify his ' I told you Scott was no good and should be sacked' rants.

I've been iffy on Spitta as captain, especially as he doesn't seem vocal enough, more a "lead by example" kind of dude.

But I loved to bits the way he just went straight over and put Judd on his arse after the Patch incident.

Wasn't over the top, didn't go snaps and cost himself 6 weeks. Knew he'd give away a free and did though.

But made the point - I don't care if you are a Brownlow winning protected species and I'm going to do it right in front of an umpire, you don't **** with my boys like that.

Great stuff Spitta.

Funny how it is you lot who put him up on this pedestal as a messiah. Supporters and media.

The bloke is just like any other footy player. He generally plays fair but snaps occasionally, ala Jimmy Bartel last week. It happens, get over it.

Congrats on the win, hope you make the 8 and do some damage.

Spewing Robbie didn't drive his knee straight in to the dogs head.

Yeah Spitta decked a good friend of his lol. I reckon JMac might have instigated it at first and swallow caught onto what Judd was doing and they jumped on him. We wouldn't have done that 5 weeks ago.

Good thread DoS.

Was really proud of Spitta. For a bloke who isn't into playing the man, the fact he spontaneously did that showed great leadership and genuine protection of his teammate.

As for Judd.. something about not urinating even if something was combusting comes to mind. Turd.

The guy IS a great player. He's also won 2 Brownlows, which creates an expectation he might live up to the 'Fairest & Best' standard, don't you think?

Yeah spot on. Spitta picked him up and threw him on the ground like a piece of garbage. It was assertive, rapid, strong and sent a message but, importantly, was not over the top.

I thought Judd looked a bit dumbfounded when it happened. Don't think he expected that

Correct. JMac was the one who put Judd on his arse too, not Spitta.

Andrew Swallow is not a huge man compared to some of the other beasts running round in the midfield. But **** me does he throw that body in each and every time. He's had a great first year as skipper. Love the bloke!

There is a media perception ....but for those fortunate enough to watch him week in and out are in the know how captain worthy he is. But friday night I felt he went to another level= dare I say it to Zeibell´s level, where he recklessly threw himself into contest after contest. Good judges witnessed what he brings to the table.:thumbsu:

Great seeing the boys not only fly the flag but seriously stamp their authority on that. Spitz, JMac and Robbie were brutal with their response. Loved it. Robbie will seriously hurt someone one day, fair bit of **** in him. Always gives it to the opposition about getting up or dogging it. This stuff makes our recent wins all the better. Would love to continuously see us rough sides up, lifts u out of your seat as much as an LT type goal.

Yep, Grima and the rest of the guys who aren't officially leaders apparently got together and decided they wouldn't be bullied. Swallow/JMac/Robbie responding, Wright getting in Goddards face, just generally sticking it up the Saints, Ziebell launching himself into contests, Firrito wiping bird shit on a Carlton defender whose name eludes me at this current time, Thomas' arrogance when he kicked that goal - keep this up and we will soon be "unsociable" like the Hawks - and hopefully winning like the Hawks :thumbsu:

Loved it.

Chris "Jericho" Judd footage was raw, but enjoyed the subsequent smackdown.

Will be fun nxt time we play them.

I'd like to see it billed as 'Juddgement Day'.

I was at the game today and cannot describe my love for this bloke.

Many people on here had legitimate questions over him as a captain, but today's game has to be up there as one of the best Captain's games for a long time. Today he showed why he deserves to be captain, he lead from the front. He barreled in like every week, he ran to receive and took on and broke countless tackles and his kicking has improved. In my opinion he has taken his game to another level this season.

Spitta is a real blue collar footballer and like Simmo, Stevo and Arch is a true shinboner in every sense of the word, his effort in the dying minutes of the last quarter was everything and more.

Absolutely outstanding performance Spitta!
