Delisted: Wanganeen, Francou, Kingsley, Bishop, Shattock, Walsh, Ware, Ezard, Eckermann

Now if Logan & Bentley are upgraded and Wilson & Lade on to the veterans list that means we would have either:

6 picks in the draft or 1 in the psd + 4 new rookies or

5 picks in the draft or 2 in the psd + 4 new rookies

We are well placed for the next 5-8 years to participate in the super draft.

Id probably go 5 + 2.

If we only put one guy on vets list I think we could also get away with 5 + 1. I imagine we'll assess what available at both drafts and go from there.

this being a 'super-draft', i think whoever we get with our first rd pick, will play 15+ games in 2007.......being still in the rebuilding phase.
i know choco tries to make them work for selection too.....

With Ware, Eckermann and Ezard being chopped, this leaves us with a 'hole' in the 2-3 year players.

I'd say that if you graphed years v games played, these 3 would really have stood out as being outside the trend line. ( maths teacher here ;))

I'd look for 2 players in the PSD who would 'fit' the trend. Don't have any names at this time, but I'm willing to listen.

I've just been speaking to a Fremantle supporter and he was telling me Schammer may not re-sign with Freo due to salary cap troubles therefore he would enter the PSD. Is there any truth in this and if there is would we seriously consider him? I'd love if we could pick Schammer up.

To tell the truth I havent heard anything about this so I'm not even going to bother raising my hopes.

He is more game ready than Russell so I would like to think we would consider him.

Which is why we shouldn't be making Jordan Russell any promises...

But I doubt Schammer would drop to 5.
Yeah well thats why I was thinking even if he did enter, unless he uses the old I want to go back to SA line and jacks up his price.

Rated pretty highly before he was drafted.
Do you guys think he might be a chance in the PSD?

If Schammer went in the PSD he would be a Carlton player next season, no matter what price he put on his head. He was one I thought the crows could have gone after in trade week, straight up swap for #14. For some reason I think he's contracted anyway - *edit* according to this thread he's contracted until end 2007.

Rucci said that Freo were offering him to us to swap #5 and #13.

So Freo, after going through the whole rigmarole of saying Schammer was untradeable when we were forced to trade Josh Carr, now want us to do them favours with the same player. Pfft.

 just wondering why ben ekerman was dropped? showed some promise and if my memory is correct linked 4 games together before being seriously KOd by tyson stengline. I think he suffered concusion and confidence problems from then on and struggled to get his form back. from what iv seen hes a total athlete tho, just runs all day and very couragious for his size. Surley worth another year tho?
