**** off trying to start threads in which the Tigers can't take part. :tearsofjoy:

42,509 days have elapsed without Richmond being straight setted in finals, since they first played. Has never happened.

Occurrances of Richmond losing multiple finals without winning one = zero

Ocurrances of Richmond winning multiple finals without losing one = nine

Mesmerising.

Ok a search of the entire straight set history reveals only 3 teams who have played at least 1 final have never been straight setted in finals(lost multiple finals without winning one.)

Avoiding straight sets exit historical podium:

1. Essendon. 11 x aced the finals series(won multiple finals without losing one.) Zero x lost multiple finals without winning one, ie straight sets exit.

2. Richmond. 9 x aced the finals series. Zero x straight sets exit.

3. Adelaide. 1 x aced the finals series. Zero x straight sets exit.

Must be something about have two out of black yellow and red in your outfit.

The straight setted podium, the masters of consecutive calamities:

1. Lollingwood 12x straight setted.

2. Blose 10x straight setted.

3. Geelol 7x straight setted.

Must be something about having 2 of blue, white, and black in your outfit.

I know it's before your timeframe, but no side has ever straight-setted with an imperious 19-3 win/loss record like the Pies of 1973. From top spot to not making the GF. And yeas, seven years later Geelong did the same albeit with a less impressive 17-5 mark. But 19-3, that had to hurt!
