That is the worst trade by St.kilda, Fiora is a huge dud! He is like Luke Livingston, both in the top 5 of the draft, both duds! Well Done St.kilda, you made a huge mistake!

I think Fiora will do reasonably well at St Kilda (not brilliantly, but a good enough player), he's the sort of player who plays best when there is a strong midfield there to get the ball and a team that thrives on open running, things we lacked a lot at Richmond.
Many Tiger fans will be happy with this, and I am to a large degree, but I think Fiora has a lot of talent that will be developed under the right coach and when played in the right position (again, things lacking at Richmond in the past). I think we would have gotten a lot more out of him than we have in the past.
That said, Simmonds for Fiora is a good deal in my opinion, we get the ruckman we need without losing a good pick or our PSD pick 1, plus we move on a player who probably needs a fresh start.

Dissapointing, but better than PSD.
Danny Frawley has been rubbish at developing talent, whereas Thomas has been outstanding.
With time on his side, and a 50k p/a deal, the Saints could have done a lot worse.

Fiora played well in the first half of the year while, like the majority of his team mates, went missing in the second half.

OK, I'm clutching at straws, but we were looking at nothing for Black in th PSD, we now have a player who has shown nothing as a top 5 pick, but may have some potential surrounded by stars like Ball, Harvey, Hayes, Goddard, Dal Santo et al to mabye show something, while at the same time save us 250k which can be divvied up amongst our real stars.
Not too bad and a new start for Fioria may be OK.
Heres hoping.

I agree with your first paragraph, not your second though. It disappoints me when people are so quick to lay into players leaving their club, I would have been happy enough for Aaron to be at Richmond next season with a fresh start under TW.
But in the end, we have to admit that we have done well in this trade, given his form of recent years we could have easily got very little in return and we also keep all our picks intact, both national and PSD.

saints will win 1 premiership maybe 2 and as long as its against geelong i will be there supporting them!!!!!
