So you're suggesting ASADA could ban players for 24 months for taking TB4, then as soon as the bans are up issue them with INs for CJC? You really think they would do this?
My guess is that any other bans would be served concurrently. But it may make things worse for non-players at a future date, because the scale of the offecnes would be so much bigger.

So the Sharks players got 12 months for admitting to using CJC and GHRP but Essendon players could get 4 years? Are you sure?

While the players had always maintained they did not take prohibited substances, 12 members of the Sharks' 2011 squad on Friday accepted backdated one-year suspensions for "unknowingly and unwittingly" using the banned peptide CJC-1295 and growth hormone GHRP-6 during a four-week period in 2011

"concurrently" - i.e. at the same time, so they might get numerous 12 month sentences served at the simultaneously (as they all occurred simultaenously it is possible they might not be considered repeat offences getting the 4 year to life treatment).

The Cronulla disgrace should not be considered a precedent for anything, but quite possibly will be.

so we get back to "what information would Dank have over essendon if players are already found guilty of doping" especially if it wont affect their ban length?

Bring down those 5 or so others hes saying were involved that currently only the weapon and really Hird have been well smeared...

Bomber got a fine, Doc kept his job, Goodwin got a promotion.. Amazing actually

not my point. People seem to believe Dank when he says he left complete records at the club yet call him liar on everything else. He's a massive lair, not a single word he says can be believed

Freudian slip perhaps, but still correct. I hate to invoke Godwin's law, but like the diehard Nazis, he will go to his grave utterly convinced of the righteousness of his cause. No matter the level of opprobrium!

Well the club wont care about Goodwin or Thompson as theyre no longer at the club, and its pretty obvious that Reid was frozen out. Maybe he could have done more but the AFL have already tried that and it went nowhere

Well I guess you've never been to the Community Cup then?.

fair point, but it's quite easy to find RRR listeners with no interest in sport, let alone footy.

I don't think Asada will double dip, especially if they get a conviction on tb4. It's been a long, expensive and demanding investigation, and I'm not sure they'd be willing or able to go down that road again.

What it does tell me, though, is that they must think they have a very convincing case with tb4 if they are focusing on this substance exclusively. I remember there was a previous narrative among essendon fans (which seems to have gone quiet lately!) that asada didn't really have any evidence and that they were just throwing things against the wall to see what stuck. Well surely if they were doi g that then they would have filled the ins with as many substances as possible. The fact that they are only targeting one substance seems to indicate to me that they don't need to target more as their case is already strong enough to get a conviction. If I was an essendon fan, that kind of focused specificity would have me more worried than the presentation of a charge sheet including all the other substances we've been debating here.

Hmmm.

Team full of hacks.
Iconic coach with little experience.
Dubious individuals pushing substances in the background.
Lack of records of what was taken.
Passionate supporters with an alternate view of reality.

I'm beginning to understand why Dank went on the RRR airwaves.

Im guessing its Hird and a senior member of staff (notably the person who signs the cheques...), this would also prove that it was a 'Program' along the whatever it takes mantra EFC ran that year....

Not a crack at you Mxett you seem relatively balanced against your large supporter base.

One of my best mates is a mad Dons fan, also a very very good cyclist, as much as it hurts him and angers him he knows EFC are deservidly going down for the past 2 years..

10000 people disagreed with you last year and 20000 in past years.
This is Melbourne,we like Rock Beer and Footy!!.

I've come accrossa few shifty ferkers in my time. Two things I learnt is never trust a bloke who starts every second sentence with "to be honest..." and every third sentence with the other person's name.

"Look John, to be honest, we never gave the players performance enhancing drugs it was all about tissue repair...

How Albert got scammed by this clown is unfathomable. I now understand how Alberts QC conned him into two unwinable and expensive court appeals. He's must be totally green and a sucker for a fast talking 'expert'.[/Q
I don't believe James is green. Charters would have him up to speed.

Hird's gone if players are banned anyway so that's no leverage

Often the "soft" interviews result in more revelations than the tough ones that keep you on the defensive.

Sure, some key questions were avoided, but the summary sounds like a bit of new information is now in the public domain, and some information has been reinforced.

I am also interested in what Dank hopes to get out of having this chat on radio. He might not be as smart as he thinks he is, but he has been smart enough to pick his times and places for public conversations about Essendon. So why here and now?
Might need the money, all his litigations have come to 0.

To be honest I'd take all the conflicting opinions with a grain of salt.

The situation is similar to Caro and her vendetta against XXXXX this week/month/year.

99% of the time she is vile and vindictive (to which i hapen to agree).

But oh, when she picks out something that suits someones agenda....... well then obviously THAT BIT must be true, just not any of the other crap.

Same with most on here about Dank.

For me, if he said the sky was blue I'd start getting my eyes checked.

For me, I think this does make it more likely that the players were given illegal performance enhancing drugs (probably legal in Columbia or some other South American drug hell hole). I reckon he is close to dumping on Essendon to save his own sorry skin. I almost feel sorry for them, for being taken in by this sleazeball.
