This might explain why Shiel’s kicking is so bad. If his ears are attached to his neck then maybe his feet are attached to his knees.

Ablett’s elbow is not visible because it is behind Shiel’s ear. Not above, not below.
It comes down to force.
It’s a forearm follow through after a open palm push to the face. Will get thrown out in a second.
I would imagine force is low given shiel got up and played a BOG for essendon

Apparently the same as cousins elbow to the front of a players face. Completely different incidents

I don't know how the bolded makes it any better. As I said it probably comes down to force.
The intent, actions and force are very different. Raised elbows are likened to a clenched fist with intent.
This one was as low impact as you can get really with no clenched fist or raised elbow action. If this was susoendable we would have defenders who spoil getting rubbed out every week for a similar action. You see forearms and open palms across the face all the time in contests. If it’s spotted just a free kick which this was given.

Ablett could be in more trouble going by your words. Hope his defence counsel has looked at the incident closer than you have.
You seem to be very invested in this even taking screen shots watching the game pausing. A lot of effort.
I’m just repeating myself it was an open palm then an accidental forearm in the follow through with no impact. Shiel was bog for essendon afterwards.
Anything is possible these days as they are changing the goal posts a lot but if all goes as should this will just be thrown out.
As they said on radio this should be over in five seconds

I'm just a footy fan interested in footy matters. Isn't that what this forum is for, or I have stumbled on to something else? See OP - I said this could go either way, but when people start saying it wasn't high or it wasn't a raised arm when there are images that clearly contradict that I take the opportunity to call them out.
Do a google search and you'll find the images.

He'll get 2 weeks reduced to 1 with an early plea.

Just wait and see. Wouldn’t be surprised if he did and to be frank we don’t even need him this week. But if all goes as it should he will get off without even a fine. Nothing at all to it

Apprantly this week is the week the MRO is consistent!
Consistant with the Cousins raised elbow is intentional ruling at least. Lowers the bar for what is considered low impact though.
