Don’t agree with the decision but wouldn’t the old boy be due for a rest soon anyway? Geelong would do well to save risking the money to appeal it and let him have a spell, then again if it were my side I’d probably be wanting them to appeal it regardless as a matter of principal more than anything else.

Anther reason the MRO should be scrapped. Totally insane decision yet again! It's just too absurd for words, the Cats will appeal and he will get off!
What will they argue? Insufficient force? Can that be argued?

Lol nothing to see at all. Thrown out in two minutes.
Will get thrown out in a second for obvious reasons
Will get thrown out in a minute this
Will get thrown out in a second.
I’m just repeating myself....
As they said on radio this should be over in five seconds

Sorry.. how long until it is thrown out?

Should have been a fine at worst.

I would have been ok with one week if Shiel had have disposed of the ball in another direction, but in this incident, Shiel has handballed over Ablett. It was totally expected that Ablett would jump/move up to put pressure on that disposal ... once in the air and a collision was expected, it looks to me like Ablett has attempted to minimise the impact rather than do anything with intent to hurt Shiel. Ablett's reaction after the incident is further evidence of this.

Yes it was careless, intentional no. Bad decision.

Agree this is ridiculous, no where near the force of last week, even hits the shoulder first and slides up yet somehow gets intentional. 0 force in it otherwise every "high" contact call on field should be resulting in a week.

Open hand with no elbow.

Defenders would get rubbed out for every spoil in the game if this was suspendable as the arms also do this in marking contests

Yeah, that's how Luke McDonald got a week.

He jumped in the air, no attempt to tackle, hit him with a raised forearm/elbow.

If Shiel had been concussed he'd have got four weeks. He's lucky with his week.
