They had the start of it on channel 7, then they fecked off and channel 9 showed him answering questions.

what I'm struggling a bit with is what we look like next year. New president, new coach (?) and massive changes to the player list. It's not all necesarily bad, but it's going to be weird after the consistency of the last 4 years.

Shouldn't you be remembering him for all the great things he and his father did for your club? I know it's said to see him go but football is a business, and unfortunately players will always put money first, club loyalty second.

The real enemy here is the AFL. They should never have let this happen. I think you'll struggle to find a player that would turn down 1.9 million per year to switch clubs.

No, they won't always.

Most our list have taken pay cuts to remain loyal. Other club's players have too.

Few other sports can claim this (if any).

Ablett is about the only player on our list that has done that at some stage in the last 3 or 4 years.

Mumford is really the only other I can think of, but then he was offered a guaranteed list spot which we couldn't give.

and have a greater respect for franklin and riewoldt and other players who have taken pay cuts and stayed one club players..

Yeah but what are the massive changes to the list? Apart from Ablett, we still have our core midfield which is full of Champions.

And remember we still have one brownlow medalist that hasnt had as much on-ball time as previous years due to Ablett being in the midfield.

Its still not over by a longshot, and we have some great young guys to fill the void and bring back that zip.
