Looking forward to all that Southern salt .....Dan Annable is going to get Lachie Neale comparisons all year.
Fewer Western Australians at AFL HQ.The AFL always does best for the game sorry Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon and Richmond game
Cannot have the big clubs ever fall down the ladder for too long.
Need to adjust the FIXture to make sure they rise
then adjust the Umpires to help that
I do find it interesting that they allow Eagles to fall so hard.. $$ in WA must not be as much
not quite - there needs to be rewards for those clubs finding and developing talent from outside the normal AFL pathways. As it is the AFL are more and more saying when it gets to draft night - all clubs are equal no matter if your just living off your percentage of the TV rights or your out in the communities spending real cash to develop new talent. With Tasmania coming in we have to find another 40 or so top line players without the overall standard dropping. The academies themselves are diversity, equity and inclusion.
I’m not necessarily disagreeing with anything you say, but the stuff you’re talking about is giving disadvantaged kids more opportunities to make it in the sport. It sounds woke to me which is fine.

Calling shit woke is so woke.
Queensland northern Academy talents Beau Addinsall, Zeke Uwland and Dylan Patterson (Gold Coast) and Daniel Annable (Brisbane) will train with their tied clubs
I hope at least half a dozen of last year’s academy crop who missed out are doing preseason with the team, along with 2025 draft hopefuls; Ben Lillico, Harrison Bridge, Raphael Geesu, Jack Harrison and Isaac Waller.
Someone has been reading Bigfooty, maybe even this thread
Grown adult has biggest sook of his life, blames minorities.
Governments don’t develop sport’s participation policies. Sports orgs do!Diversity, inclusion, opportunity etc.
All admirable goals. The trouble is when the majority senses or feels overreach resulting in real or perceived exclusion. This was evident notably in the comprehensive failure of the Voice and the Election of Trump in the USA and other "Conservative" Govts in NT and Qld recently.
Unwelcome welcome to Countries,Transgender participation in a same sex sport not of their birth sex. Exclusion from National Parks or Public land due to tenuous indigenous cultural connections, selective employment practices because of quotas, shared restrooms in Schools. Every one of these are occurring or have been introduced by Govt.I believe the vast majority are well and truly over the Woke and i stand with Clarkythelion.
He also makes good points on a Tassie Academy, genuine NAGA development.
