They won't, they'll be too busy hiding away in their box schmoozing their rich matesBe nice if they flashed him or Fitz up on the big screen during the game.

Oakland A's had a reverse boycott a few weeks ago which I think had some decent concepts.
All their fans showed up during a terrible timeslot against a terrible team to show they still cared, but crowdfunded 30k to make a SELL shirt for everyone in attendance, and then went deathly quiet to start the 5th before a deafening Sell The Team chant after the first batter.
Would be good to have a huge 'Nisbett out' chant at the 24 minute mark or however many years it is.
I assume the mods could afford 60k QUIT shirts on their salaries easy too.
They may already have our membership money but if they get less than say 30,000 at Optus I’m pretty sure it hits them in the hip pocket as they lose money under the stadium deal based on reduced bar and food revenue. So a boycott is probably the biggest message that could be sent.
I’m inclined not to go, not to make a statement but mainly because I’m not that much of a masochist to sit through another performance like yesterday. But I’ll probably drag myself along again because my young bloke is right into his footy at the moment.
I’ve been trying to take a break from footy for a while but the email from Fitzpatrick that just landed in my inbox has broken me. How can they possibly turn in the worst performance by any club in decades, in amongst a season of new worsts, and then turn around and give us the same meaningless platitudes about trusting the process? This is long beyond a joke.
They’ve got our membership money which, let’s face it, is all that they care about, so not turning up on Sunday won’t mean anything. For those of us that do turn up, what can we do? I’m thinking something like all turning our back at the 18 minute mark, something symbolic (but ultimately just as futile, I know).
Anyone got any thoughts?
YesThe thing is I'm not keen on anything that seems like we're having a go at the players, it's mostly not their fault (especially the younger guys) that they've been put in this position. They didn't put this shitty, shitty list together, they didn't ask to be playing AFL football when they're not ready and in positions they shouldn't be playing at this age with very little support.
Whatever happens it needs to be targeted specifically at Nisbett and co. in my opinion.
The body is still warm from yesterday its essentially a PR statement, no club is going to release detailed strategic plans. Reviews and sackings are a job for year end. I think we're expecting a fair bit of blood once this seasons been digested.I’m as patient as anyone but some semblance of pathway, some semblance of responsibility not just the vague ‘ah well we all have our part to play so we all share it’.
Hard to see how Simmo survives but I’m not here baying for blood and saying I want a head to roll, but some degree of impetus would have been nice.
“We expect a strong response against St Kilda” well I’d hope that’s a given and we won’t re-set the worst ever loss record. What is that improvement measured against? Can you hint at any sort of club wide review, or commit to any sort of KPIs for the rest of the year? We know the plan is hit the draft and back the kids, can they give us any more info than that? “Some of the senior players were well down yesterday” ok so what’s the plan there?
People expecting blood and thunder from this of all clubs are wasting their own times, people like me who pray for clear communication are also stupid pricks, but a bit more than a very vague and very generalised ‘yeah wasn’t good was it, and that’s on all of us, but please be patient’ would have helped.

I don't think you want something well designed. I think you want something that gets the message across as simply and obviously as possibleSomeone with some design talent like Truckosaurus might be able to come up with something.
Anything I designed would have stick figures on it.
**** off ToddThese BF melts are really getting me through this horrorshow. I think some were just waiting to rage at whatever was released by the club today. What was it suppose to say? We've burnt down Simmos house and there will be a public stoning of nizzy at 1pm tomorrow at optus?
Yeah. Be patient.
Serious question - how many players that played last night are genuine AFL-level players right now? How many of those are fully fit?
Last night is the lowest of lows, I get that, but whining and complaing isn't going to put a fully fit, AFL-ready side of 22 players on the park any sooner than the human body allows.
I don't want to see us lose by 100 points each week but I know we're not going to get better until we actually have players to choose from. Unfortunately, that will take time.
I would like to hear the club address the issues behind our injury list the last two seasons but I know that isn't going to magically make 22 fit players appear.
Instead of turning your back at the 18-minute mark I would suggest just staying home and leaving the TV off.
How about we burn effigies of Nizzy & Fitzy at half time?
Nah it's unrestricted burning seasonMaybe if it was a controlled burn. We’d probably need a permit though.

To again reference the As here
Yellow with one of the following in royal blueSo basically that, but in blue and saying FOLD?
a crowd of 30k or less wouldn't be a good look whether they've got our money or not
I wouldn't say that they've shown no signs they think it is an issue. Look at Simmo. He looks like he'd get more out of headbutting a brick wall most weeks. The frustration is evident. The catastrophic injury list is the driver for all this, I agree, but they’ve shown no signs they even think it’s an issue, let alone that they’re doing anything to fix it. Every statement is always about how unlucky they’ve been.
Until they address that these thrashings will continue. We’ll continue to have to throw underdone and not-ready players into the cauldron and they’ll get injured and demoralized and there’ll continue to be no selection pressure for non-performing players. And we’ll probably set more records.
Stick with us though.
So will your friend jump back on when the good times start again?I remember back during the ken judge years they couldnt give away memberships.
My boss got 2 at choice seating for peanuts.
If everyone scraps their memberships like a friend of mine is doing, he pays 6k per year, then it forces them to make harder decisions.
Even in the wings members should cancel theirs.
Not turning up is not supporting the players, that's why I reckon the Oakland route of turning up, cheering hard for the players but having one or two things targeting Nissy/Fitzpatrick /Simmo whoever is the goI wouldn't say that they've shown no signs they think it is an issue. Look at Simmo. He looks like he'd get more out of headbutting a brick wall most weeks. The frustration is evident.
But do you really think they're all sitting on their hands? I have no doubt everyone at the club is asking questions. They're just not telling us what they're thinking, which I agree is frustrating.
I would expect, at the very least, some thorough discussions around S & C and MRP, and ideally some actions, have taken place. If none of these have happened, then either Nisbett or the board (or both) needs to go. Immediately.
But I don't see how turning your back on the players is going to do anything. Just don't show up. The club will get the message.
Ideally, the media would be asking better questions on our behalf around the injuries of the past two years but that is out of our control. The best we have is a podcast to talk among ourselves.
He will have to join the back of the queueSo will your friend jump back on when the good times start again?
