We want Picks that will help us get Neale. Not Picks around 18 haha! Will be fascinating to see how they can get it doneMelbourne have really shot up in discussions for Cerra recently havent they, According to Jon Ralph they are now his preferred destination... while also claiming that there is no way the Dees get the deal done.
Who's it gonna be?
I've missed this.
We won't give 8 for Saad, we can just use it on him in the draft.
Thats why they aren't gonna get it done. Just think its interesting that Melbourne is now the preferred destination, If he is to believedWe want Picks that will help us get Neale. Not Picks around 18 haha! Will be fascinating to see how they can get it done
I'm pretty sure he has said no to Carlton twiceClarkson

And what makes you say that, You're own personal wish that he is gonna come to Carlton. Nothing is set in stone mate. I agree that he will most likely go to Carlton but to say that is 100% is delusionalThe preferred destination narrative is just a smokescreen that Cerra agreed to join Carton weeks, if not months ago.

Yes, and Oliver agreed to join Carlton as well. The preferred destination narrative is just a smokescreen that Cerra agreed to join Carton weeks, if not months ago.

I'm not saying it can't get done, that was apart of Jon Ralphs report. Melbourne can definitely pay the price somehow. I would still like to see my boys take a punt for Cerra but all signs point to us grabbing Narkle and hitting the draftWith all due respect I agree with you nothing is set in stone. The logic Melbourne cant get it done also makes no sense - they never dick us around, in reality I cant remember any side they have dicked around in the last 5 years. But I do agree Melbourne need a 3rd party. However, without a coach Carlton are just not an attractive destination. There is no guarantee pick 6 is on the table - again media group think.
Freo walk an interesting tightrope if the want Neale back. I dont think this is done and dusted.
There is no way that Carlton won't offer Pick 6 and more. People forget that they stuffed up as they could have had Tom Papley. Cerra rounds out the midfield and allows Cripps to play forward. He is perfect for them.Plus there is no certainty Carlton are prepared to offer pick 6. Not if you go on the Saad deal, one minute they are in, next day they are out, then they are back in again. I would much rather deal with MFC who have proven time after time to be more reliable at getting their man 1st time around.
As I said earlier I think Melbourne is much further down the track than the media give them credit for - not that I was aware of JR's comments. This is not a done deal. I think Melbourne will reignite a few conversations from last year.
Does that mean the last place he ends up is the DeesMelbourne have really shot up in discussions for Cerra recently havent they, According to Jon Ralph they are now his preferred destination... while also claiming that there is no way the Dees get the deal done.
Based on the medias track record... YesDoes that mean the last place he ends up is the Dees

Idk, I didn't say they couldn't get it done, that was the report. I'm also not a Freo fan so I can't tell you whether or not that is acceptable or not. If Melbourne really want him they will find a wayWhat about brayshaw and 2022R1
Carlton will have a coach by late October/ early November.
No need to stress.
Dude, I know that wasn't the whole deal. I chose to post the crux of the deal rather than the intracacies. So Carlton also got pick 48 and an exchange of unused picks. That's pretty much meaningless.Very interesting you mentioned part of the Saad deal - super straight forward was it?. Maybe you would have been better quoting the whole deal. Maybe they did pay less? I actually agree with you had Saad been contracted it would have been 8 plus more. But he got to the club of his choice.
I think Melbourne will extract Pick 13 out of us and will top it up with a later pick of their own.
An unproven first year coach (maybe) and an unstable board.
Time to stress.
