The West Coast Eagles would like to announce that as of 1pm Monday May 30 we have re-signed Castore for a further 5 years as our jumper manufacturer. Castore have assured us that they will be making multiples of the #28 jumper in sizes S, M, L, XL and 5XL in preparation for the expected influx of new players.

Our issue is everywhere. Not having inside mid isnt a reason why we are conceding 25 goals a game. It’s the game plan.
No ****ing shit

Quite clearly it’s Covid related :shoutyoldman:

Simpson is so emotionless and unbothered in his demeanour that is fairly obvious that he takes no personal responsibility for the results. Not just that, but i also take from the lack of defensiveness in his answers and his body language that not only does he not think he is responsible in his own mind, but also that there is nobody at the club telling him that he is responsible and putting pressure on him. He is behaving a fire or insurance company investigator who has turned up 3 days after the house burned down in the way he is talking and in his body language. The fire investigator is just calmly and dispassionately noting down the details. He is not emotional in any way because it is not his house and nor did he have anything to do with causing the fire. Thats what Simpson looks and sounds like to me. He looks like there is no internal pressure on him at all. Thats why i wonder if he is planning to walk at the end of the year anyway.

My boys are actively barracking for Freo now, honestly the damage the club is doing to its brand is unbelievable, I can’t believe the inaction. FFS people with some sway, do something!
They’re your kids mate 😂

What would frothing and getting hysterical achieve?

Kudos to him for remaining calm as the lads serve up shit sandwich after shit sandwich.

I didn't say he needed to "froth and get hysterical" or that it would achieve something if he did. Those are your words.

I observed that the normal reaction from human beings when in the situation he is in, which is that the objective results from his job performance via the scoreboard are not just bad but bordering on the worst of all time for anybody in the job he is in, would be to show some emotion, to look like their pride was being wounded and their self esteem as a coach was being challenged by the awful results, and also to show a bias towards action rather than inaction. People under pressure usually feel the need to look like they are doing something, if for no other reason that to fend off external criticism and also to feed their own human bias of the illusion of control of the situation. They are usually heavily biased towards action rather than inaction. Such as dropping players, or planning future actions, such as totally overhauling the pre seasons they have been doing, in response to this. None of that is visibly hapenning.

Either a mutual decision between him and the club for him to go at the end of the year has already been made or is highly likely to be made, or he has some very, very weird psychology swirling around in his head for him to be as unaffected as he appears to be about how awful his job performance is.

What do think I should, force them to watch WC play? I’m not a sick campaigner!

You allowed them to barrack for freo. Not only is that kind of sick, but if it sticks, they will turn into hateful, resentful, jealous, depressive human beings.

Great job dad.

I would have just reminded them where the door is…that’s all.

You control who your kids support. My kids already know how the draft works. My kids know that we just won a flag and now we have to go to the bottom to restock. They're not too fussed about watching them play but supporting another club is not an option for them. It doesn't even enter their mind.

I could say you need to be better at brainwashing your kids. But we both know that's not it. We both now your kids have no intention of supporting Fremantle and you're just having a bit of a "moment" and playing the victim card because you can't cope that your team is having a lean trot.

Must be fun being your kids.

It depends on how old the kids are. I mean if they are old enough to understand, then surely a good chat is necessary, explaining that supporting one’s club is full of highs and lows and that whilst we (WCE) are down at the moment, it won’t be forever and that as a club, we have had more good times than bad. I find the whole thing utterly bizarre tbh. We have been bad for for almost one year now. That is one year. Not 5, not 10. And already the tears about youngsters going to support another team and people packing it in. We as a supporter base do not know what hardship is (thankfully).

We all brainwash our kids. Anyone who thinks we don't do it are usually the ones who brainwash their kids with stupid shit.

And the whole, "wah wah wah, my kids are starting to follow another team".... simply embarrassing.
