Yep, the secret squirrel stuff shows an extraordinary level of arrogance towards the fan base.
Have a suspicion Simpson was fed up with the BS when he 'unintentionally' revealed his contract status in the media.
Same frustration with the Nicnat injury status BS at the start of the season.

If a new coach can come in and get this rabble to manage 2 wins before the end of the year then they are a genius and worth signing up

Its about as locked as it could possibly be at this point of a season

I'm not so sure. North play Hawks in 3 weeks and us in 5. If they beat the Hawks then we can rest easy. If they don't (and they probably won't) then it comes down to us v. North in Tas. I don't think we'll win but....

• North are pretty bad
• The senior players were a disgrace yesterday. That game reeked of "we want a new coach", which suggests to me if a new coach were installed, it's possible that they play better.

This is an epic bad season, so I don't want to be coming home with second prize.

But here's the thing:

The club has been able to stand it's ground to date. They've held firm and batted the media away with "nothing to see here". But this loss was not 90 points. It wasn't 120 points. It was 170 pts. Even Joe Rogan said, "that shit was wild". The witch-hattery that went on was crazy. It's got to the point where people at West Coast who won't removed Simmo will be under pressure to resign.


EDIT: Just saw that tweet from Sweeney. Joe Rogan said "that is wild. Jamie, pull up the clip where TK and Chesser just stood there like mummies".

If he has to go, just get a caretaker coach. Brendan Bolton or Dean bailey or someone like that.

When Simpson’s extension first came to light he mentioned that he was given the choice on whether to announce it or not. He chose the latter so that’s on him as much as the club

Wins/losses and how bad we lose is not the judge of Simmons job.

We judge him starting from year 2024 mid way.

He could lose by 200 points from here on out but his performance is not judged until 2024 (mid way or end)

They extended Simmo for a reason. Losing sucks but look at the team we put out there last night. S & C still priority #1. Injury list is trending in the right direction though so I imagine this has been dealt with but it is a waiting game until enough players are at an appropriate fitness level. Would be nice for the club to address what they think is the reason though as it is not unreasonable for someone's head to roll for the past two years.

Either Nisbett or Fitzpatrick need to resign immediately for the club to have any semblance of accountability.

The club will back in Simpson, OK. But somebody else needs to be punished for allowing the situation to deteriorate as it has - failures across the board in S&C (the biggest issue), list management, coaching, and player performance. Across all three WCE teams.
