Traded Adam Treloar [traded w/ #28 to Collingwood for #7, #65, 2016 first rounder]

Missing out on Buddy was a blessing in disguise for GWS, now have the cash to re-sign all their important young guns.

They do have COLA, but GWS are an extremely well run club. Their crowds will grow over time, that isn't an issue really.

They have actually lost more valuable young players than Gold Coast to rival clubs, in case anyone is sooking GWS got too many draft concessions

And it will only get worse....They have first dibs on both Kennedy & Hopper - 2 bona fide first round mids - to stock up on....While also having both Coniglio & Buntine up their sleeves to entice 2 more ready-made mature bodies via trades.

They are a monster in the making!....All they need is a 2nd ruck & they'll be the complete outfit.

AFL wont do anything until they win at least 2 flags

We've lost a pick 1: Boyd
Returned a ready made player in Griffen and pick 6.
a pick 2: O'Rourke

Did little, most likely lost out but still returned a top 20 pick.

a pick 3: Tyson

Returned pick 2 and a downgrade mid first rounder for a early second round.

and a pick 13: Jaksch/Adams.

Adams returned a gun in Shaw, while the Jaksch trade wasn't far off 13.

There's 5 first rounders gone.

lel.

Three years puts him out of contract as a FA, unlike WHE and Shiel. Interesting if true, though ultimately probably academic.
Not true. Under FA rules, he will have only completed seven seasons with the Giants at the end of 2018:

1. 2012 - with the Giants
2. 2013 - with the Giants
3. 2014 - with the Giants
4. 2015 - with the Giants
5. 2016 - with the Giants
6. 2017 - with the Giants
7. 2018 - with the Giants

Treloar did go to GWS as one of the 17 year old selections and played in their NEAFL side in 2011 but this does not count as he was ineligible for the 2010 draft.

I realise what I was doing - the Giants' first draft was in 2011, so was counting from that year. Oops.

Yeah.

In before Carlton too.
Question is can they dislodge long time number 1 Freo? Can't think of having a real promising tall since Pav. Lions these days along with Carlton would be up there as well.

What would u seriously want as trade from Collingwood for him?

He is about to re-sign at GWS, and as Luke Parker says, you haven't got the draft picks/trade assets to get a deal done anyway.

Reckon this Treloar story is just a smokescreen by The Pies to disguise your serious intent for Dangerfield anyway.

Bingo. Can see it 10 miles away. Have actually thought for 12 months that Dangerfield to the Pies actually makes more sense anyway. Treloar will sign with GWS anyway.

I agree Treloar will cost us players or possibly 2 X 1st round picks which we won't have. Danger as FA then our 1st round pick can be used on a young key forward in draft or if talk is true they probably intend on using it for Aish trade??

Kidding if you think it'll cost 2x first round, just a good player who accumulates possies, just like half the AFL these days, doesn't have enough tricks, no X factor about him and not all that quick either, late first round or fringe player early second round at best

Way over rated!!!!

Sounds like he's not worth pursuing then yeah?

wouldn't worry about that guy, makes up sources and stories

for instance
"Been told by his management that he wants to be traded to a Victoria club, hearing but not 100%, that it'll be the Pies."
