We've had 2 top 3 picks in the last 5 years, not the plethora you make it out to be.
And prior to that, how many number 1 picks did you have? 2-3? Plus a few other top 10 picks

However in the last 7-8 years Melbourne would have had at least 8 top 10 draft picks.

Things can change pretty quickly come trade week. It would be far from a done deal. Melbourne will have a huge crack and will have a pick around 4-6 I would think.
How can one of Collingwood,North or Richmond get him Giants will probably ask for a top 10 pick.

With the AFL set to introduce the ability to trade future picks and GWS having a steady flow of incoming Acadamey players I'm sure the Pies or the Tiges would be able to come up with something that can satisfy the Giants.
given Carlisle when played in defence isnt bad and gws's need down back, I thk gws would need to sendssomething with treloar like their second to get Carlisle + essendons first round which would be top 5.
