Barham last night

I take it that he's fully gone from the club now. Also, thats a fair clip in terms of how things were prior to Rosa.

“We have injected more money into our list management recruitment team and will continue to support this critical area which is now lead by Matt Rosa. We now have a detailed list management strategy, to guide us so that the decision making is strategic and well planned, giving us the best opportunity to grow towards the sustained success we all desire. Its also appropriate we thank Adrian Dodoro for his efforts over the past decades and wish him well. He has given long service and will always be an important part of this clubs history.”

He’s working at Port Melbourne with the Hirds and it seems maybe Doise, who will take a playing - assistant role

The band’s back together!
Nooooo.
Now obviously I follow us in the VFL but the club I have always supported in the VFL is Port Melbourne.
Now I am getting Hird and Dodoro. What next Kevin Sheedy as media liaison ?

Hate to say it Ant but you’re the clear link btw Essendon and Port

This might actually be your fault 🤣

There will be a lot of people who will be happy to look over at our team during these next few weeks and NOT see Dodo's mug.

It's going to be a bit surreal to not see him and I'm not sure I will believe Adrian is gone until Monday and he is not with Rosa, RFK and Co

That's a "thanks for nothing, bye" farewell if ever there was one.

After 49 years at the organisation, the best things that can be said about him by his boss are:

  • he was here a long time
  • he was here. Fact.

He once shouted me a coffee and a big chocolate cookie.

did he pay full price or was it a deal too good to refuse?
Was back in the Windy Hill days when they got all their coffee and snacks from Jack and Jill's at Windy Hill so he probably did not pay full price :)

I like that Barham did it just because it's 'appropriate.'

Dodoro: "So that's it after 30 years, so long and good luck?"

Barham: "I don't recall saying good luck."

Thread moved to the annuls of history. Thank you.

Best to say nothing when you have nothing nice to say.

If Barham achieves nothing else as the leader of the club, he's managed to force ADs exit from the club which for so long has appeared virtually impossible.

We'll be stuck with decisions made by AD for a few years to come, but at least this move has finally happened.

With this stuff going on at Port Melbourne, Welsh on the board can't help feel they are angling in some way to come back if Scott has a catastrophic year.
Probably hoping to have a few successful years at Port have the gang ready to march back to the hanger if we have a shitty season.
