Would a half now help that much before 6 weeks off?
It's only 3 weeks he's already served 3.

We could have helped him shake off cobwebs by giving him a half in the AFL games. But we’re too focussed on round 1 continuity. If he doesn’t get a hitout then it’s entirely on us.
Danger was only ever allowed to play for Geelong in the VFL.

And according to Rahilly in his presser that was what we were waiting on the AFL to sanction (SANFL), they obviously didn't.

Because McAsey is too soft and slow
If you went and watched him play, you would be able to see it
I've probably seen more of him than you, remind me again how quick Daniel Talia was ??

He's a bust when we delist him, until then he isn't.

He's a bust before then. He's one when we've decided he's not in our future plans.

Are we at that point? Probably not, but we're not far off.

Mcasey no good again?

He really needs to start dominating lower league footy. We aint asking for an Alex Rance type defender at this point so a Kyle Hartigan will have to do so we can get some small value from this pick.

Never draft a key defender this early ever again!

I seriously think McAsey needs to get his vision checked and it'd probably explain a lot about some of his play.

If Freeman plays a full season he'll win the Magarey. Absolutely miles above state league level and a far better player than countless on AFL lists.
If he carries his pre-season form into season proper, we should look at him in the MSD. No doubt other clubs will start showing some interest.

Interested to know what you think is an acceptable performance outcome for McAsey in 2022?
He needs to be at very least pushing Murray.

If he's playing well in the SANFL, and Murray is good enough to keep him out then so be it.

For me he must displace Murray as preferred CHB in the 2nd half of the year, at this point even a failed forward in Frampton is ahead of him in the KPD pecking order it seems

That’s a very low benchmark, a pick 6 “pushing” a player. He has to be consistently getting games in the second half of the year and showing something, not just been gifted a game.

We also have a real lack of quality talls at both ends. The barrier for entry to the AFL side couldn't be lower for a player in his position

Why can't he ??
Too slow and clumsy. Had a booming kick but no coordination or football craft. I just don't see it. They cant all be winning picks. Lets just learn to not waste early picks on defenders again. Rookie KPDs and Billy Frampton, yes Big Bad Billy are all ahead of him.
