It's a reasonable feeling to have but evidence shows it apparently isn't the case.

I think in this particular case it comes down to the quality of the ruckwork and the ability of the players around the ball to extract the ball from the contest. If the ruckmen are deciding to knock it straight to their feet instead of knock it away from the contest then its going to lead to more congestion.
