No pressure on us. Lucky to have a bit of a go after the first half of the season. Cats to lose from here. Would have to be a real capitulation for you guys.
No pressure on you, lots of pressure on Fagan and the Lions though. 6 years competing for flags with nothing to show for it so far despite having the best player in the game running around each week. Would be a real shame if Fagan failed to get a flag with this group.

Geelong have generational big forwards and probably the greatest surfing mid to play the game. It’s a crying shame they haven’t been able to create a dynasty.

No pressure? LOL Absolutely ALL the pressure is on the Lions to win.
If they fail on the big stage again the knives will start coming out again.
The list is supposedly stacked but all everyone can say about Geelong is, “wow Scott is such a great coach”
Wouldn’t that suggest people don’t think Cats list is very good (didn’t say they were intelligent), but the “experts” believe that it’s more down to coaching?
So how would the pressure be on the Cats?

And that’s all before we mention the Cats went to the mountaintop only 2 years ago, half the team are already Premiership players and the other half are a bunch of kids who are in their first or second year of footy..

No one had Cats top 4 (Except Damo Barrett) and barely anyone had them even in the 8 going into this year.
Cats are playing with house money, Lions are one more Finals loss away from a media shitstorm, crazy to suggest otherwise.
We all know Geelong are the form team in the comp. People just don’t know your players as they all have the same hairstyle it’s really hard to tell.

I'm sure that will be your excuse for why you get flogged on Saturday.

"Yeah, bro... we lost 'cause we just didn't turn up, aye! If we did we'd have smashed 'em 'cause, ya know, our best is better than anyone's!"
What because if Geelong beat us we all going to start talking like Geelong in-breds?

Rubbish.

Coming off the back of a heartbreakingly narrow GF loss, to bounce back off a poor start, the Lions have over achieved already in most minds.
You guys though, charged ahead early to set up your season, a small downturn through the middle before a strong finish.
The soft kills and lack of match hardness leaves the only question.

Are you saying we’re underdogs with nothing to lose

Agree

In McKenna Morris Ashcroft Fletcher Lohman Dunkley Lester

Out Coleman Matthison McStay McCarthy Gardiner Rich Robertson.

Coleman the only one I would desperately love to have so overall a better side

Based on no change from last week as expected

Most people - including most opposition supporters on this forum - were predicting The Cliff(TM) to hit us and for us to finish bottom 6.

Now suddenly all the pressure is on us to make a GF or it's some sort of failure?

Just make up your minds, guys.

Firstly, learn how to respond into the correct text box, so that way I can properly quote you in order to have a two-way dialogue.

As for your reply:

Guess which demographic of Australian was the inspiration for that particular vernacular? None other than... Queenslanders!

You see, other than the most concerted of efforts from a handful of toff-nosed, inner-suburban Brisbanites keen to shake their inherent Queensland ocker-ness (those from Fortitude Valley are not included as they're a collective lost cause), almost every Queenslander talks like that.

I spent many years in Queensland, and still work with many on a daily basis. Trust me, bruh, I know. 😉

Obviously, any team's record can be selectively adjusted, but if you take out that 6 loss run the Cats went through when the Cats were - in part - improvising their team lineup ...

... their record is 16 wins and 2 losses.

I had a look at this for the lions and if you remove all of our losses and the draw we are 16-0 this season. Pretty even with Geelong.
