Top 4 not that much difference to next 4. Not clearly superior

In fact if the ‘extra” 20 secs from our game v port not there, hawks are the higher and home team in final

True, but I reckon part of the up and down nature of the season is that every team from 1st to 10th has at least one of those "if only" games/moments. Like the somewhat fortunate win against GWS at Launceston, it probably evens out, more or less.

The times Sicily hasn't got it his way with either he's started to get frustrated.

It wasn't much but it was noticeable.
A good tagger will give him issues
Like the time the Saints tagged him? Oh no they didn’t, and he had 43 disposals - 17 contested - 24 kicks - 16 marks - 22 intercepts - 11 score involvements at 90% DE? That type of tagging or team defense on shutting a player down? 🤗🤗

Other than Day who is a super jet the rest are just depth-like in most top four teams if you call them "best" then what can I say - point proven?
Day is a gun and starts in any side, Lewis is a gun and starts in all sides.

Blanck would be welcome to a lot of clubs as a strong key defender.

Mackenzie is a talented young mid who could play in a lot of sides.

You are talking out of your behind, and with Barrass and Battle to come. Hawthorn will be contenders again in 2025.

Newcombe is a bit inconsistent but when he plays well he looks like a superstar, did it against Geelong once and now the dogs a couple of times
His last month of footy he’s been the best player in the comp.

Only 3 players have averaged 30 disposals, 10 score involvements, and a goal in three consecutive games. This being Dan Hannebery in 2016, 2021-22 Christian Petracca and Jai Newcombe 2024.

Over 5 games.

35 coaches votes.

31 disposals
82% DE
5.6 inside 50s
13.6 CP
7.8 clearances
3 goals
1.6 goal assists
9.8 score involvements

These are games against
Dogs (EF) - North/Richmomd - Carlton - GWS

Games before this patch he has had:
22 disposals - 2 goals v Adelaide
25 disposals - 1 goal v Collingwood

Some big stats from these games included:
15 score involvements v Richmond
15 score involvements and 4 goal assists v North
20 contested and 11 clearances v GWS
35 disposals and 10 score involvements v Dogs

He gets you in a plethora of ways, his inside game, hands, strength and power are brute and elite. His kicking, class, aerial capacity and ability to go forward will continue to separate him.

He will add consistency and continue to hone on his game, especially as a forward with his craft.

He’s got the ability to be a top midfielder in the game, his last month or two has shown that.

Answer the question mate
DEF - Scrimshaw, Sicily, Hardwick, Weddle (Barrass & Battle 2025)
MID - Day, Newcombe, Worpel, Meek, D’Ambrosio
FWD - Moore, Lewis, MacDonald, Ginnivan, Dear

Bunch of guys who will be
Mackenzie, Ward, Watson

Guys who are or close
Impey, Amon
Jiath

There’s a reason the side is one of the best in the comp, whilst being one of the youngest, heaps of growth to come, new players to come in (Battle, Barrass etc) and draftees.

I’ll give you Day, Sicily and Moore with Weddle an up and coming star, but everyone else are system players who I wouldn’t back to beat their own man.

Hardwick disrespect is wild- arguably our most important small defender and one of the best in the comp.
Nuke and Cmac deserve the credit and Watson will in approximately three weeks time.

Newcombe has been near on the best player over the last 6 weeks.

Hardwick beats his man every week and is the number one pure lockdown small in the league.

MacDonald is a damaging half forward who creates havoc.

Your lacking knowledge is incredibly poor.
