Blues fans are really laying the boots into the reining premiers.....makes you wonder how they would be when they actually win anything this century. That haunted thought, though, is looking like a reality very soon, unfortunately.

BT sounded absolutely morose on the final siren. Don’t think he has it in him tonight.

BT on the siren when asked if he is up to doing roaming Brian tonight:

It’s the circle of life, we lay the boots in, and it happens to us.

I won’t miss this opportunity, we could lose our next 10 and they could win their next 10, so good to get in now .

Surely it has, somewhere at some time.

I don’t think pies are finishing bottom 4 unless they cop a whole bunch of injuries.

With a relatively full side they will win at least 10 games at worst.

Depends if you count Adelaide in 1999 when there were only 16 teams in the comp? I guess so if that’s counted.

Just made the bottom 4 after winning a Premiership.

Should have seen them at QT in the Prelim.

I don't mind the Blues though, they've copped worse over the last 20+ years from the Tigers success & Pies success. Let them have some time to gloat.

Wont happen, pies look way off it and the Blues have a different feel since round 11 or whatever it was last season. You're finding ways to win even if it's ugly and that's a sign of a hungry team and in the right headspace, similar to the 2022 pies.

This isn't about umpire bashing, but what is the idea behind allowing Leigh Fisher out there tonight?

Wouldn't it be more sensible to have him avoid saints games entirely?

FMD the AFL is a stupid operation.

For those that don’t often watch Saints games, Leigh Fisher often fists St Kilda with his decisions - almost as if he is over compensating for any potentially perceived bias.

On many occasions he has double-fisted St Kilda. And I’m not talking interlocking hands making the double-fist, but 2 separate and fully formed fists adjacent to one another. A far greater circumference.

Pies are still on honeymoon but at the same time their game has proven to be unsustainable, always seem to find themselves in a state of flux. Never truly dominated games even last year and were extremely lucky to walk away with a premiership. No one can take that away from them though. The stars aligned and they were able to grind one out in a very even season. Playing high on life with close wins, found themselves on top of the mountain, but now the edge has worn off and are well and truly, and very quickly, being piffed off it.

Beyond the aging best 22, they are concerningly slim.
