Ok I gave my halftime theory, which didn't end well, so at full time it is as followed.

Last year's comment after the first few rounds, "they don't give out flags in April"
Last years comments in July (looking at you Ken) "they don't give flags in July"
Last year start of September " Pies look shot, as they have lost a couple".
Last year after GF "Collingwood win the flag"(F**k that sound good, lets say it again), Collingwood wins the flag.

All I can say is that September is many weeks (months) away and you don't have to be on top but in the top 8 to qualify.

Swans look like they will be there.
Giants look like they will be there.
Carlton look like they will be there.
Haven't given up on Brisbane, as they will be there.

That leaves four places to make the 8.
That is all that is required, the last time I looked, we are still in the eight.

Now excuse me whilst I go watch the last GF again for the 34th time.

Seriously I have four sons and four grandchildren (just to show their age) and they haven't been alive to see a Carlton flag.

Since the turn of the century (25years) you have won zero flags but won 5 wooden spoons.
