Xtreme - what difficulty is this on? Because no offence but I've seen your posts in the Rocket League thread and you seem not very good at that, so I'd assume also not overly good at AFL games. But I find hardest very challenging with the current patches on the PC version, and am a fair bit better than you at Rocket League, so want to understand if I'm just missing something with AFL23 or if you're playing on a low difficulty for games like above.

I'm not sure how you could possibly equate skill at RL to this game... They aren't even close to being similar.

Strange comment.

Just wanted to throw in a bit of a weird:

I Think You Should Leave Season 2 GIF by The Lonely Island

More confused than concerned, I probably should have said. Wondering if BA or anyone else is even aware as I haven't seen it mentioned at all. Might be why we can't play each other online now.
They have mentioned it. On the initial Monday patch with tactics it mentioned PS4 getting tactics but not PS5. The Tuesday patch was supposed to include tactics on PS5 but that patch was pulled & there have been no patches on PS4 or PS5 since.

That’s why PS4 has tactics because it got the Monday patch.

I read that and felt the heart-whack for old mate Xtreme. Reminded me of the old "Dad I love you and would never say mean words to you. You really need to exercise because you're fat" I copped from the young fella during the week

scared episode 11 GIF

Clearly I'm not phased by it, I've copped it from others in this thread and I'm still posting. I even cop a ribbing about my "abilities" in the Rocket League thread as well and I still go about my business posting highlights from time to time!

When you're as highly skilled as I am you'll get haters from all directions
:p

Is there a thread where people can put suggestions who actually want to see a great Game and communicate with BigAntStudios instead of this one where everyone is negative and just shitting on the game instead of being constructive? Coz this chat is s**t

ATM Ignore is the best way.

A direct channel to the team is via support.bigant.com - we are working on a better way to have interaction with the dev team that is more public facing.

My expectation is it will be tomorrow - however I can't guarantee it.
Fingers absolutely crossed that the interchange/sub is fixed! So we get 4 interchange and 1 sub.
Also do you know if with auto interchange switched on will we still have power over making the sub or will auto interchange decide that for us?
Would love to be able to use auto interchanges but have manual choice over the tactical sub.

I know sub/interchange is being worked on, I'll get JNT BA to report back on it tomorrow.

Playing on hard :)
We've all got varying skill levels in whatever games we play, my overall winning percentage in Rocket League (currently 60.1% on Xbox and 70% across pc/switch/playstation) is pretty good considering I stick with the basic skill set (not an aerial superstar).

I've gotten used to how '23 plays. It's not such a complicated game at the end of the day, after the mechanics the real challenge is having faster reflexes when dealing with the teleporting in the game.

You've posted about your win % before. In a game that's ranked to basically have everyone's win rate to be about 50% or +/- 5% that means (and you've openly said) that you game the system to boost your wins.

The relevance here is that I get the impression this is how you play video games, prefer to dominate than be challenged. Which I think goes against 99% of gamers preferences and so makes a lot of your feedback (ie evo 2 is better because marking is easier lol) redundant.

EDIT - And is why I was questioning what difficulty you play on. Also haven't you said you've played online and got belted?

No offence intended and proceeds to offend anyway, classy!

This is a forum. If you're gonna post videos and detailed summaries of your gameplay you're putting yourself out there for criticism.

You're kidding yourself if you think video games don't all have similar skill sets. Reaction time, pattern recognition, ability to find the advantages, fine motor skills. These transfer to every game, generally in my experience people are either good at video games or bad, otherwise their overall level on each game corresponds to hours played.

Exactly how do I game the system in Rocket League ? I certainly don't cheat as it's impossible to do so. I mostly play 1 on 1 in competitive, otherwise it's 2 v 2 or 3 v 3 in casual and also the tournament nights :).

I like to be challenged in my games, but it's a bit hard to be challenged when the AI doesn't present much of a challenge at all.

I had ONE online game in '23 and was convincingly beaten :). The netcode isn't very good as it's heavily slanted to one person over another connection wise (it's been a "Big Ant trend" over the last 12 years!). A much more accurate evaluation would be better done on the same console in person.

BigAntStudios Do we know when the plan is, to introduce Women State League teams to play in Play Now and Season Mode?
We'd like to do it asap, the issue is likeness and player attributes, the AFLW players are in hand but lists are harder for us to manage when they are more subject to change as those are. We're more likely to introduce it after the next round of AFLW data/scans occurs, so it will be retrospective.

Edit: of course I should add that Big Ant are on the shorts, front of jumper and back of jumper of the Carlton VFLW side, I'd love to see it in game.

This is what I was referring to. Rather beat up on duds in casual than play at your level in ranked. Not that there's any problem with that, each to their own, but again it's not how most people find enjoyment in their games.

Was this a flex from mickelboy182 too?

This is rubbish otherwise everyone who’s decent at video games would be decent at all video games, not just particular genres.

The skill ceiling in a game like RL is nowhere near comparable to a game like AFL just like a FPS like CoD is not comparable to a game like CS:GO, outside of them all being video games.

You just sound like a MLG who thinks they’re better than everyone else.

Ha I don't beat up duds in casual, I get most of my wins in competitive 1 v 1. Casual is just a casual game or two before playing the nightly tournaments when able to play.

Honestly, the AFLW would be very challenging with all the changes that happen with teams and i assume the state leagues would be similar

Pretty key difference in that is talking about Rocket League specifically... I am decent at Rocket League, absolutely garbage at CoD. The skills are so wildly different it is a stupid point to try to make.

Fair few more similarities between Rocket League and AFL 23 than there are between COD and Rocket League....

And the main point I was making was that Xtreme likes to play against easy opposition and beat up on them. Hence my original post/question

Why do you care so much how other random people on the internet play games? Let's not turn this thread into a pissing contest or a Rocket League discussion, take your chat to DMs if you feel so passionate about it.
