The game is probably in its best space since release. Players much easier to control now after latest update. Still some bugs but definitely much more playable.

I play on hardest just finished one season with Melb and made the grand final. Just started a new season with the crows to see if it’s a bit harder with a slightly worse team. So far 5 and 0 but the games seem a lot harder and closer.

The fact the game is still not out on Xbox/ any comms is just laughable.

I know Ross has lots of experience in this whole sports video game space but would it be time to let a younger, gaming and sports addict take the reigns?

Seems like they’re miles off the mark and have no real clue on what footy fans want from a game.

Maybe but that involves Ross stepping away from his own company and I don't think he wants to do that...

Nothing special, just wanted to highlight how fast the Geelong player got to the contest and marked the ball. In real time it was super sonic speed style!

Jai kicks a goal in the rain

User error handball, the intended target was Bruest in the goal square, but nope the analytical game engine decided it had other plans!

To be fair, I think plenty of fans have no idea what makes a good game.
The Twistie3 footage before release was filled with bugs and poor player movement and rather than ask about that, the comments were just filled with people asking about player ratings for microtransaction mode.
Or asking whether the WAFL reserves teams get face scans.
Ross has said before that gameplay is king. We just need him to back that up with a bit of quality control.

Twistie would have gotten booted from the event if he asked those questions, and you're right, a lot of people were worried about the irrelevant superficial stuff like the ratings that didn't have anything to do with the gameplay. People were still obsessed with the ratings, even after the game released in a completely broken state. Also, they were freaking out over their 2 week delay, they wanted the game rushed out. When I suggested I'd be okay with it being delayed another year or 2, some made irrational claims that the game would never be released if they continued developing it.

If its any consolation, at least now we know the game still hasn't released 100% finished on any of the platforms and another long delay was probably the right call. I still cant fathom why they went ahead with a whole Launch Party when clearly the game was so far away from being ready for release.

Just a quick question in the 2nd video, where the hell did the crowd go?

And for the first 2 months, a lot of people on here were vigorously claiming that the game was in tip-top condition, only vanishing when the producer left the forum. Strange coincidence.

I started a crowd less covid season months ago, never turned them back on in play now games lol
Didn’t even know that was a feature, that “nearly” makes me want to buy a PS5 and get AFL23.

All I need now is just a fully-functioning game without so many glitches and errors attached to it ;)

Oh well, I’ll just wait patiently for the game to come out on the XBOX consoles, if ever at this rate.

Its Been A Long Time Waiting GIF

Evolution 2 had it as well
Its different just having the ball bouncing/kicking sound effects. I like it to a degree as the crowd annoys me in afl 23.

How do you take the crowd away on AFL Evo 2 cause I have had that game so long, yet didn’t even know that existed :$

Should be in the settings somewhere.

EDIT OPTIONS - GRAPHICS - PERFORMANCE

LOW: Normal
Medium: Reduced visual quality
HIGH: (best frame rate) - scoreboard and crowds disabled

etc

:p
Because they released it in awful condition and haven't fixed it in 4 months other than some 'band aid' patches over an open wound. I'll never get why they even released it broken and thought that was acceptable, and they were insisting some of the broken aspects were fine like the stuck in the mud turns, which was bizarre. Their bad PR was insult to injury, no other game company who released a game in horrible condition that I can think of were hostile and shady to their customers, it's usually a refund and an apology.

My internet went out mid playing the game yesterday so when i finished my match the game locked up and crashed throwing up an error. Didn't think much of it

Go to open the game today and game crashes to the desktop past the logos each time without fail, no error messages

Got around to watching Michaels chat with Caden they both sounded very flat and bummed about the lack of content they have been able to do on AFL. Don't blame them it would have been frustrating planning a lot of content based on expected modes and not delivered.

Well, NBA has released and FIFA is just over a week away now. BigAnt sure have fumbled any chance at people splurging on ProTeam when they could do the same for fully functioning Triple A titles.
Amazing how they’ve managed to stuff up just about every aspect of this game at one point or another.
