No. It’s absolutely garbage now. It was better at release. Not even joking.

Now you have absolutely no time whatsoever and are instantly tackled. Before you could actually run with the ball. Was much more enjoyable then
Fully agree. Just played my first game in over a month on 'hard' and it's exactly that. No time to do anything yet the CPU seem to be able to power up kicks and handballs instantly. It's worse now than when i played it in July.

It’s just button mashing crap now. I also play on hard and when the game wants the oppo to get a run of 3 or 4 goals on there is nothing you can do to stop them

I wonder if they will actually release Pro team this year, surely it’s stupid to release at the end of the season & it’s better to wait until the 2024 season.

I thought I was the only one, it's terrible the movement and the lack of the ability to counter the CPU offense. You can't hand pass into the direction you want. How did the other AFL games on a much smaller budget at least function with movement and passing but this higher budget one is completely broken?

This hasn’t happened since release day, I still have no idea what game you’re playing
Except it did happen for me just the other day on the current patch, and I don't have that issue on other AFL games or other video games for that matter. Unless you're on console and it's some perfect version I'm unaware of.

I am on ps5 and I can honestly say I haven’t experienced that in a long time

Are you saying you can win on the hardest difficulty, since the latest patch? If so, what are some tips you can give the rest of us flogs.
Can you seriously not win on hardest ?

Tackles and handballing are the keys, if you can tackle then you can control the play and quick handballs in the contest help you get the ball out to players in space, which is how you get the time to use the ball well.

Let’s play online 🤟🏼
I play on hardest and win but I’m still well aware of all the issues
Happy to be proven wrong if you have the only version in Australia that works well

Cut out the passive aggressive sniping of others just because you disagree with them. It's boring.

For me, I personally enjoy the game. It's a fun representation of the game I have loved my entire life.
There is room for improvement, but I also find that it has enough in there to challenge me (by no means am I an expert at the game and constantly get flogged online) and am excited about what is to come.

I've been invested in every AFL game that has come our way, and I will continue to do so. But life ain't perfect, so I will just ride this wave as it is at the moment because we aren't here for a long time, so make the most of it.

With Rugby now officially delayed, that's the third of Big Ant's 2023 scheduled releases that hasn't met its original release date this year. That issue compounded by the licensed Ashes game not being released during the Ashes and the licensed Rugby World Cup game not being released during the World Cup.

I know they say its different teams working on all the games, but I would have to assume there is shared resources across the games. If that assumption is correct, then in hindsight its obvious to say that AFL definitely contributed to the Cricket and Rugby delays.

I wonder how different things would have turned out if AFL was given an extra year in the oven and released in 2024.

I'm not playing it as much as I was throughout May-July, but it's still good for a bash every now and then. My last few weeks have been a quick game here and there, but mostly running 7.5-10m quarters of the final round of the season as well as the first week of finals. Alas I've gone back to Evolution 2 (and have even played a few games from the first one.... just so I can run around as Hodgey in the Hawks guernsey :p).
