Wild guess here but I’d say there’s no functioning Marketing/Communications department there because if there is, WOW and admittedly JNT probably cops more than necessary but this is why you get someone who makes the decisions to then make the proper roll-outs or just state CLEARLY what can/cant be discussed. Might have helped reduce the circus act we’ve endured for 15 months.
I reckon it’s more to do with Ross cracking the sads on this forum and getting abused to the point that he wanted to handball any form of communication to JNT on their own platform. Even if the communication is 99% meaningless. It’s purely there as a safety net for the sake of his ego so that he can believe “we do have comms”I just don't really understand what purpose he is trying to serve on those forums, he's on a hiding to nothing. If he is being muzzled on the most basic of questions they're basically sticking him out there as a lightning rod for criticism.
Indeed. And let's just say, hypothetically, there's nothing they can post. What's stopping them filling this dead air with a bit more content? The most cost effective marketing ploy BigAnt could use is to provide receipts for their ostensible lies.
Genuinely waiting on this to get approved? Prove it. There’ll be something free of sensitive information that sufficiently proves submission on dd/mm/yyyy. It would yield an instant boost in credibility and cost nothing.
Instead, the silence is deafening.
I like the idea of seeing the captain cards... but don't really follow the logic.Indeed. And let's just say, hypothetically, there's nothing they can post. What's stopping them filling this dead air with a bit more content?
Show us the card of each captain every few days or something. "While we wait, here's the Bont/Dawson/Gawny!" Literally anything that shows you have compassion for your customers. Passive aggressively pointing to the video you released 3 weeks ago, that was full of last year's content, does you no favours.
Anything other than just riding out the negativity for another few weeks until it's time to say "You wouldn't believe it, those pesky platform holders denied the update, this will be an AFL 25 feature now. Not our fault, all their fault, lolkthxbye".
I like the idea of seeing the captain cards... but don't really follow the logic.
If they can't post anything without approval, then they wouldn't be allowed to post any further details (like captain cards).
Any content to fill the dead air would, I'm guessing, need those approvals.
Again, I like the idea... and would love to see this sort of stuff....but the question counters the hypothetical you laid o

Ignoring the feature that this release is about… sure….It is laughable to think they have some kind of stringent approvals process considering the complete lack of quality control they've exhibited over the journey
Everything that’s put out there for this game has to be approved by the AFL and presumably Nacon as well (and potentially even the state leagues if those teams are involved, which we know from the pro team video that they might be)What are these mystical approvals? You mean their internal process of approving content?

There could be internal and external approvals… platform holders (Sony, Microsoft… which I know you guys really don’t want to be true so it can be said ‘they lied to us’), maybe licensing (not sure if past players, legends, have some contractual things associated), maybe publisher (Nacon)… maybe payment gateway stuff (no idea how microtransactions work in ProTeam)…What are these mystical approvals? Working in Marketing if the deal they organized with the AFL had to go through so many approvals they aren't very good their job. There could be internal and external approvals… platform holders (Sony, Microsoft… which I know you guys really don’t want to be true so it can be said ‘they lied to us’), maybe licensing (not sure if past players, legends, have some contractual things associated), maybe publisher (Nacon)… maybe payment gateway stuff (no idea how microtransactions work in ProTeam)…
I dunno, but there’s plenty of parts/orgs that could have to sign off for anything released publicly.
We’re not part of the companies, so we don’t know for sure.
Go on then, sue the companyThey had a roadmap tho. Why set a date when you know you can’t meet it. They are going to be broke very soon we we take action with a lawsuit when we sue this embarrassing company
All of this supposed oversight and yet....
Some people just flat out refuse to acknowledge the mountains of evidence in front of them. Baffling.
Lmao. It’s not that we don’t want it to be true. Far from it. But again as has been said many times in this forum. The boy who cried wolf.

Soooo now it’s the AFL’s fault that BigAnt missed a timeline yet again ?Go on then, sue the company
I can admit that big ant’s PR and communication is poor but what they have told us is that everything they put out for this game has to go through (at least) the AFL.
But I’m sure that was just another lie, right ?
It’s just ridiculous to think that the AFL might have final say on any content that goes into a video game that they’re endorsing.
Soooo now it’s the AFL’s fault that BigAnt missed a timeline yet again ?
The AFL haven't endorsed this pile for over a year now. Last I can remember was when they promoted pro team legends last April. Albeit i've probably missed something since but fairly certain that there hasn't been anything for a long long time. It’s just ridiculous to think that the AFL might have final say on any content that goes into a video game that they’re endorsing.
This is understandable from release dates getting pushed out… but not as ‘evidence’ for who’s caused delays or halted approvals. The boy who cried wolf.
I see evidence being ignored the other way all the time. There’s mountains of evidence in this forum alone that doesn’t bode well for BigAnt which ya’ll seem to overlook.
Again, as with above, ‘evidence’ vs speculation. But hey, at last, we agree on something. Some people just flat out refuse to acknowledge the mountains of evidence in front of them. Baffling.

Still waiting for a reasonable explanation that the game launched in the planned state (completely broken), despite the launch event footage and YouTuber preview gameplay.
But anyway, because I don’t have my pitchfork out, screaming ‘they lied to us’ doesn’t mean I think they did everything right. I would love to hear more, know everything that went on… but I also know how people/companies can be with that sort of information… and how NDAs work, so I don’t expect it.
Again, as with above, ‘evidence’ vs speculation. But hey, at last, we agree on something.
If they had to submit the content to the AFL for approval before submitting it to the platform holders and the AFL dragged their feet on that, then yes, it could be the AFL’s faultSoooo now it’s the AFL’s fault that BigAnt missed a timeline yet again ?
It’s still an AFL product, they don’t just let anyone do whatever they want with something that has the AFL brand on it.The AFL haven't endorsed this pile for over a year now. Last I can remember was when they promoted pro team legends last April. Albeit i've probably missed something since but fairly certain that there hasn't been anything for a long long time.
I get the feeling the AFL are just steering clear of this now. Why would they continue to provide input to something they don't care about now? They've simply lost money on this game. I really don't think they are providing creative input anymore.
No chance BA are getting a license again for 2025 like a few seem to think.
They managed to put out a video of the mode (including player cards) in a day when it got delayed.

…and I bet there were approvals that needed to go through with it.They managed to put out a video of the mode (including player cards) in a day when it got delayed.
It looked a lot better than what we got day 1…The preview footage looked dogshit though?
