Ross sitting there after every negative comment likeI don't know how many from here are on the Bigant support forum but I can see that any negative views on the forum are being deleted. Some of mine included. Not in anyway did I sit there and bag the game but I did provide my honest opinion regarding certain modes and issues with the game and then I have jumped back on an my comment and some replies have been deleted.
Honestly, if you can't take the criticism then you are in the wrong business. Someone had reported crashes and then the comments were deleted. A few complaints that patches haven't come for PS4/5....some of the comments were deleted. It just seems Bigant can now just simply blame Nacon for the patch not being released for PS. It's just poor management with how this game was released, only partly, the way it was released and the condition it is still in.
I played a few games on the weekend in Management mode and had a crash. Can't believe this is still happening. Handballs still going opposite direction yet opposition AI hit 3-4 quick handballs in succession. Invisible barriers still up and stopping my player from going anywhere near where I try to make him go. I was trying to run towards a free opposition player and my guy went the opposite direction I wanted him to. Could not pick up the ball and just ran past the ball. Wind seems to have now disappeared again. Games not saving is a new one. Players being moved to different positions on the ground. Ruck contests not going the direction that I push right stick. It's a pile of crap Bigant.
The fact we had a “you can’t post videos of glitches” ban on a bigfooty forum…The cajones to outsource your community to these forums, and to expect the unpaid mods who keep an eye on all gaming discussion here to police it all after that launch, was rather impressive really.
No, we didn't.The fact we had a “you can’t post videos of glitches” ban on a bigfooty forum…
I'm currently still battling with Sony. Have just provided the ACCC info that has been recommended.I kind of want to see it through, but I'm really not far from pulling the pin and getting a refund myself either. Whole thing now leaving a sour taste in my mouth.
Anyone know the consumer affairs law that can be used for Steam refunds?A couple of positives are that hopefully "blind faith", a ridiculous concept at the best of times, has been laid to rest, and that pre-release red flags will be taken far more seriously going forward
They really went after WW and their ex-employer by uploading footage of Mitch Robinson losing it at Evo 2, among other things. The hypocrisy is astounding. I thought BA were going to really give this game their all, after that display.I don't know how many from here are on the Bigant support forum but I can see that any negative views on the forum are being deleted. In before it's just "Improved Stability" again.Part of me is really keen to see what the next patch will bring given its taken so long, part of me is ready for the boot up the arse ala Bart vs Australia when it disappoints again.
The fact that they uploaded that footage and now Mitch Robinson hasn't even played their game once on his YouTube channel speaks volumes here. XDThey really went after WW and their ex-employer by uploading footage of Mitch Robinson losing it at Evo 2, among other things. The hypocrisy is astounding. I thought BA were going to really give this game their all, after that display.
The thing is, if Big Ant hypothetically get another sequel, I don't think they're going to advance the gameplay that much more. They'll just patch up the issues, but the contested play among other things I don't think they'd want to touch, because it could break the game. I don't know how there's only 1 pluck marks and 1v1 only marking contests, when WW at least had pack marks in Evo 2.Honestly, AFL 23 has been one of the biggest gaming disappointments I've ever been a part of. Honestly, I think the best option for everyone reading this who still has the game is just getting a refund on this game and waiting for someone else to come around and make the game whether that be the next time if BA get booted after this or in the far future when another dev team is gonna want to have a crack after years of nothing.
It's now probably a 1 in a million shot of a perfect Aussie Rules game ever happening but that's just how it is. This game has pretty much burned down any hope of an AFL game even getting a hope in hell of succeeding for a good while if ever. The best thing for the AFL to do is to just throw in the towel for the next 10-15 years on Video Games, See how the local development scene grows and then go from there.
In the meantime, We might get some indie Aussie Rules titles like Footy Showdown getting released and potentially, We might not only get a good footy game by these people but it might also make things easier for the AFL as they would just be able to put their license on said Indie Game and not have to worry about anything like this from ever happening again.
Sometimes you've just gotta tear it all down and rebuild it. These past 10 or so years have just lead to toxicity on the games and the further we can get away from WW and BA, The better I say. Let's give the small guys like game_chromosome and others like him a shot this time.
And a couple of new hairstyles. In before it's just "Improved Stability" again.
Yeah... That's the thing too. And even then, I'm more saying we move on from Big Ant entirely. Go for a complete new start with people who don't have any ties to any previous games. See what they could bring to the table. The thing is, if Big Ant hypothetically get another sequel, I don't think they're going to advance the gameplay that much more. I missed this. They really did this? They really went after WW and their ex-employer by uploading footage of Mitch Robinson losing it at Evo 2, among other things. The hypocrisy is astounding. I thought BA were going to really give this game their all, after that display.
Yep. I was there. It was in the AFL Evo 2 thread. Ross uploaded a video of Mitch Robinson in private footage bagging out AFL Evo 2 and how Wicked Witch were no good at making their games.I missed this. They really did this?
I don't think there's any studios left that will touch Aussie Rules. Only indie developers. game_chromosome no pressure, mate, keep doing your thing.Yeah... That's the thing too. And even then, I'm more saying we move on from Big Ant entirely. Go for a complete new start with people who don't have any ties to any previous games. See what they could bring to the table.
