Agreed, although I don't see that happening unfortunately. I would imagine a sequel would also be unlikely given this debacle.

I also think comparably speaking, for all their faults, at least Wicked Witch provided a completed game in Evo 2. Granted graphics and animations weren't great, but at least it was complete and playable, and we saw improvements from game to game.
I honestly think we would have been better off getting evo 3 than afl 23.

It wasn't complete, it was lacking of things from the sport, but unlike 23, it does function where you can move when/where you want and pass where you like. But Live 2011 was the best base AFL game.

I probably meant completed* rather than complete.
Sure, it lacks features the real sport has, but it plays as it was designed to be played.

By the end of the week its Mid July and we are still none the wiser when Xbox or Pro Team is going to actually be a thing despite both supposed to have been good to go months ago, laughable how much this has dragged on at this point.

Insert Brendan Goddard "they'll make a movie about this" quote here!

Something can’t be a red flag if any gaming company with the AFL license around the world, would need to have equal representation of AFLW.

Oh look, EA SPORTS have included AFLW - ‘RED FLAG’. See, not quite.
I didn't read the responses right earlier today as I was rushing in posts whilst at work.. so I didn't mean to argue that it was the reason that the games in the state, I was talking from a resourcing decision point of view as to why it was a red flag but in my haste I inadvertently was arguing through my posts to people who thought that is what I said/meant. Wasn't til I was confused as to why poster after poster kept saying that I realised I'd ****ed it and I was the only one on my wave length except Michaels kinda got what I was on about, reading back I'm not actually sure how he manged that.

I wouldn't worry if it were EA because I know they have endless devs to throw at something and the scale to temp scale up and down. I'd refer you to NBA 2K and Visual Concepts as probably the closest comparison, coming in and focusing on the engine and core game and then adding features in later once the game was rolling like WNBA through to MyTeam and the Town etc, they did it against huge pressure at the time as well. Now, well they've turned the game into a casino that I hardly feel inclined to touch except during NBA finals the urge comes back to buy it and I find myself hoping a new studio will pop up and follow their history and build us a NBA game that is about the sport not transactions.

I’ve been pretty patient but it’s really starting to wear thin.

Gameplay is a lot better, not getting stuck in the mud at all after the latest patch as long as you put enough power on the handballs.

Have tried to play 2 online games, first one froze a minute in. Second one froze in the loading screen.

We are what, 3 months post release? These should not be issues anymore.

Its really not good enough months post release, especially when the game was delayed to begin with, What the hell happened in all those months did they stick their fingers up their arses or something lmao?

I feel like we all need to stop getting our hopes up about patches magically fixing the game and just see the game for what it is. An unfinished pile of crap that'll never be fixed or fun.

Big Ant should really just get on with withdrawing the game and giving out the refunds because everyone else is already trying their best to get their money back anyway and it would be nice for them to actually give us something that we want for a change.

They are so far off a good game here that there is no way they'll have an Xbox release or Pro Team ready this year. It's too broken. It needs a year of development at least until it's good to go. You can't just keep patching this game for a year or two to get it to that point. Especially a sports game.

If it means they won't make another Aussie Rules game because they didn't get the money needed. So be it, They blew their chance to make their money back by rushing it out the way they did. If they had done it properly, We would have given them the money they needed and actually supported them.

My tip to anyone who may create an Aussie Rules game in the future, Take your time and do it properly. We would be happy to support you guys if you show a proper interest and love in the sport and actually take the proper time to make the game and not rush it out the door.

I mean the gameplay is a fair bit better after yesterdays patch, I find it funny that people are so negative and dire that they think the game should just spontaneously combust into thin air, lol. It’s nowhere near that bad an at all. I’m fact I am now writing a list of all the positives that I’m enjoying.

I will admit I had a bit of fun with it last night but I also think there’s always gonna be a bitter taste while playing it given how everything has gone and will always be thinking how much better it could be.
I’ll keep playing because for what I’m looking for there’s enough enjoyment there, can’t help but feel like I’d be enjoying even more had it been handled better though.

I think that's where a lot of the frustration is even for those of us more positive on the game. Such a lot to work with, but a lot of potential being wasted or not even utilized.

It's annoying for me that there's enough gold nuggets that I can't go back to Evo 1/2.

This x 100!! The experience has been absolutely soured by the clown who runs the circus and really ruined it for everyone by his ignorant ways. This game could get 50 more patches and end up being a 10/10 classic but it will always rub most of us the wrong way. Cant wait to see AFL 25 sell legit a 3rd of this and then hear how it still won’t be Big Ant’s fault again 🤦🏻‍♂️

The patch notes are so lazy, 'improved ____' is a useless descriptor.

When Ross said "improved stability" captured a stack of gameplay improvements, my lord.

Any other game I've played the patch notes are exhaustive. Which I presume is because competent developers are capturing the changes they make for their own records, so is very easy to then publish for customers.

Are Big Ant not capturing their own changes? Would have to assume not otherwise they would publish them. Whole thing is just so arrogant/amateur

Yes the game has had plenty of issues and still has plenty of issues, but you know what’s a shame about the game, which I guess is alittle self inflicted. We get a new patch and instead looking to see how the game has improved, we have some who only want to know what issues are still in the game. It’s like they’re waiting to feast on them. Anyone that says anything positive or mentions improvements there is always someone who comes back and says but but this is still broken, stuck in mud and and this and that ect. I don’t know whether they’re trying to spoil someone’s enjoyment but it’s a shame.
Again as I’ve said it’s mostly self inflicted considering how the game launched, but is this what we have become where people are just looking for faults and issues instead of acknowledging improvements? I get issues need to be addressed and I understand the game has a long way to go but seriously 🤷🏻

It’s unfortunate the game released the way it did and that people have lost faith and or not even trying to have faith anymore. Hopefully the game can continue to improve, hopefully I get the Xbox version soon lol 🤞

Because it's still not at a standard that should be released to the public, and it's been over 2 months. Players are stopping still and doing nothing when the ball is alive in that build. Does any other sport game do that?

Meanwhile I've been knocked back twice by Steam because "there's no evidence of product defects under Australian consumer law". Righto

Generally it’s pretty hard to get a refund after the return duration, even though it’s the best policy of all platforms it can still be a little flawed

I can think of PC version of Arkham Knight in which Warner Brothers admitted it could not fix the game and allowed refunds for any hours played as one of the few exceptions. Maybe Cyberpunk had one as well? Funny enough apparently its not a bad game right now. So they must have really commited to fixing Cyberpunk
