But really impressed by freo tonight. It would have been a travesty if we scraped a win.

Have to agree, it happened A LOT this year, so i think it's time to move some of the older guys on and blood the youth.

Honestly some people shouldnt even post after/during losses , they obviously lack experience. Lonergan has been amazing this year. Tonight wasn't our night, lets not forget what this group has achieved over the last 6 years

Well finally the pain is over... Clear as day what went wrong... First quarter was simply disgusting, never seen such incompetence from the side. Could not hold simple chest marks, structures were all wrong. Lonergan and Harry Taylor had absolutely shocking games, Hawkins was useless... A blind man could see Pavlich would tear us up after the first quarter, yet he still managed 4 more goals.. I guess it just shows he is simply better than our defenders, a shame though that Scott didn't have a tactic to mitigate his impact.

So many neutrals are happy we are out, I've never seen so much hatred for Geelong than what I did tonight.

A fit and firing Varcoe, Vardy and Menzel for 2013 makes me happy!

Not a Geelong fan but the umpiring favoured Freo quite considerably. (the free kick count isn't an indicator)

Crucial frees were ignored/missed and it impacted momentum on a few occasions.

We got knocked out of the finals in 2010. They said our 'era' was over then. What is an era? We have some incredible young and mid-career players. Chin up, Cats fans. The future is anything but dark.

Happy with our year, but a pretty disappointing end. Congrats to Freo - wanted it way more than we did. Been amazed that our players have kept the hunger up for so long - was gonna say it's starting to wane, but I'm not sure it is tbh, just not enough intensity at the start of the game - We'll be back.

Just had a big moment of saddness seeing Scarlett walk off. An all time legend with the Cats has just played his last game. Extremly grateful to have seen him play and because he's not the media type whatsoever he'll now just fade into a memory.

They certainly missed a few, but only ourselves to blame for falling so far behind. Freo came to play, we did not.
