Lachrilly - Fair suck of the old 'sward' there pal on Martin getting it 20 times in the first quarter. He had 2 kicked on him in 5 minutes, then he had his own good 5 minutes due to a Saints injury. He then went to Hislop (the dirty red head) and they had a good tussle, except when Hislop's cousin had the ball and kept kicking it to him. Waxing at its disgusting best.

No Saints players said anything after the game to the Hawks boys. It was a good come from behind win for a club that has been out of form and luck for a few weeks. Surely that is a good reason to be a little excited by the result. Don't you think??

Parsons is out for the year which is a huge loss for the Saints. One of the best shut down players and has had the measure of Smith and Allick. Very tough too.

I think the comic is funny, and even funnier that you fire up about it Plugger!!! Pretty sure Chris Adams didn't write anything when you put the photo up of him and you thought it was a bit of fun. Don't talk Alias either, who on here knows exactly who's who?

Hey Tamba, if I was to go to Fretwell Park and just sit on the balcony of the bar (maybe put a dollar in the slots) all Saturday and watch footy would I still have to pay game admission? Not saying I would, but I am just wondering how all the AFL licensed clubs get around this?

Chris Adams going to Dogs or Hawks. Rumours he's off to coach in Mackay. Wow! Soon he'll be off to coach the Crows or the Demons in the AFL.

What a coaching resume of experience, a season coaching in Mt Isa and a season for the second bottom team in Cairns.

At least he'll be able to manufacture the team gameplan to suit himself and get 35 touches every game. He seems to have that worked out pretty well.

Ex. Port Coach Paul Cox ( was suspended here at the end of his contract for 16 weeks having a go at the umpires)

Umpire of the year- Well it certainly wouldn't be the Umpires Boss. And I think poor old Bob Burke is a no show. What about Tatts? He's about the best in Cairns.
Ressies GF - Would love to see the Cutters but I'm thinking the Crocs will be too strong.

Umpire - Wouldn't have a clue, I think that's how it should be.
Ressies - Saints to lose the semi, win the prelim, then win the Granny.

Only game of interest this week is Hawks v Dogs. With all the dogs ins, if they can't make at least a contest of this match, can't see them having much impact in September. Hawks play a bit like Melbourne, all good when it's going their way, but with a bit of pressure, they crumble and wonder what's going on.

As for the league medal - hate to say it but Smith from Port... don't rate him in the top 10 players but the umps love him.

FACT - Chris applied & was to be appointed assistant coach for 2011. The clubs initial choice for coach fell through due to not being able to get work with AFL Cairns, thus taking a role in Darwin.

FACT - Chris stepped up to the plate (on request) to help the club out with this role.

FACT - The guy puts in 110% effort in his role.

The season hasn't panned out how we would have liked, as at other clubs who wont be playing finals footy this year, but thats footy.

The club will be advertising for coaches, volunteers, committee members as it does each year. Fell free to apply if you have expertise in any of these fields. Sorry there are no positions for character assasinators.

There is about 5* on the clearance list but Thomas Holland is another one that springs to mind with Gav Miller ..

*Which quickly looking at the clearances I think may be the most in the league..

FACT - I haven't seen the guy on this forum saying how good he is, or that he wants to rule the world....

FACT - Chris applied & was to be appointed assistant coach for 2011. The clubs initial choice for coach fell through due to not being able to get work with AFL Cairns, thus taking a role in Darwin.

FACT - Chris stepped up to the plate (on request) to help the club out with this role.

FACT - The guy puts in 110% effort in his role.

The season hasn't panned out how we would have liked, as at other clubs who wont be playing finals footy this year, but thats footy.

The club will be advertising for coaches, volunteers, committee members as it does each year. Fell free to apply if you have expertise in any of these fields. Sorry there are no positions for character assasinators.

Getting a bit sick of this Bruno

Do the right thing and put you Big Mitt up for the Souths Coaching role in 2012, become a Committee member or something to aid Souths or shut up about what our club does or doesn't do. If you have an issue to raise about Chris write a letter to the club and lay it out. It will be then raised at the next board meeting. Just refrain will you from your continual, sniverling, gripping, whinging over Chris Adams all the time on here about him, you want the job so bad or think you can do better, BE a MAN & come forward and say you want it badly then if you fail like you most proberly will as not all Coaches are perfect, I can then rip the Cr.p out of you.

Chris has done wonders with the club, unearthed some good junior talent that would have otherwise been overlooked , and may I remind you he was initaly (sic) the clubs assistant coach but was asked to step up so he did

Miller was not longer required and Holland played only 1 game for Hawks last year and another the year before as the club was looking after the kid while he was up on school holidays from Melbourne. He was lured back over to Norths by the guys he works with, Richter and Hanlon.

Upthemiddle is right, no one has left Hawks for any other club in this league.

Haha...you can only laugh. So you're saying that it was just 'all going our way' for 13 weeks? No team wins that many in a row without standing up to a lot of opposition pressure. Anyone would think your beloved saints won by a cricket score? It was 3 points saint, and all this just adds up and acts as fuel for the rematch, if you make it past the elimination final, then the second semi from third spot.

Yeah enough's enough. He has given his all to the job at his first real go at it. He will learn and improve. I'm not the greatest fan of the way he plays, but he's more than handy and as stated he has had a go. Unless you have coached before you should save your comments until you have. It's an all encompassing job that requires a lot of committment.

Saints showed a few cracks in the Hawks. Centrals play a keepings off kinda footy which could frustrate Hawks.
Saints losing Walsh will need to find another goal kicker. Might take a few weeks.
Port will just be too skillful
I agree with the doc in Jesse Dixon could be the replacement forward Saints need. Come finals he could be the X-Factor especially now Cam 'The Presence' Byrne is out.

By the looks of it, you only won the latest game against Port after a good patch after half time.

They would know you're susceptible and Saints have beaten you twice this year. No side in the top 3 has lost to a side outside the top 3, so every other match-up seems irrelevant, unless, as I stated, the dogs make a game of it tomorrow, or at least show signs.

As for Brunothetiger and Chris Adams, don't feed the troll. He's obviously got some vendetta, just ignore him. Souths know if he's a good coach or not, and most of us know he's a good player. End of story.

You guys probably won't realise it, but its people like myself and countless others who have raised questions about this bloke have probably made him accountable.

I played alongside the bloke in Vic a decade or so ago, but this bloke had question marks about him from day one at the Cutters and I found it interesting after a few phone calls around the country and a bit of research that there is a bit of a trail of destruction. Feel free to do your own homework.

If he is doing such a great job, then that is probably because eyes have been focussed in his direction and he has had to be accountable for his actions.

Hopefully he has learnt to curb his ways and has become a better person. I certainly hope so, because there is a good side to the bloke which you guys obviously see by defending him so vigourously.

At the end of the day he wont be at South Cairns and hopefully they will move on and get stronger again.

Feel free to make your own phone calls and enquiries about his footy career, it is rather interesting.

As for contacting the Committee about the matter, I have spoken to people from his past who emailed the Cutters earlier this year (I have seen the emails) and they never got a response. Go figure.
