Sav, that material is just garbage. No wonder you are the disgrace of the family and have pulled out of our trip away.

Righto mate everyone down belconnen way knows im not the disgrace of my family that title belongs to my older brother ( no 4 in the 3rds if any of the jets read this feel free to sock him one in the ribs for me. also please try to bash the cockyness out no 1 he is a pest)

As for you leeroy you are just lucky that its not me lineing up on you this weekend if it was i dont think you would be around long enough to hear the final siren.

And yes im gone for the footy which is a shame i would of been the 1st ever rookie to take home the title:thumbsu:

I don't think the result on sat will shut anyone up. The way I see it they are the 2 best sides in the comp n u couldnt ask for a better GF...regardless of the result which could go either way. No teams a certainty thats for sure even if Jets drop players which they are entitled to do so by the rules. Yass hav quite a number of players who would handle themselves esaily in higher grades anyway so they shouldn't be too worried.

UTBNB (UpTheBumNoBabies?), you are a dribbler.

Jets dropping players back for this weekend? Makes no sense to.

They have two teams in two grand finals, they should be able to play their best 22 in each grade - I guarantee that they would value a CD1's Premiership over a CD2's.

If players played 1's last week and are dropped, they deserve a crack at a GF.

I hope for a 100 minute bloodbath in both grades ;)

Of course they want to win the 1's, isnt that how any footy club works? I don't think they would weakin a 1's side either but the excess from 1's will make the 2's harder too beat, that was my point.

Im with you dude they are both very evenly matched they are 1 win apiece after all will be an awesome game

Excuse me of I've missed something along the line, but can someone please confirm for me is Stevens playing or is he not playing in the Div 4 GF? (I refuse to read any more of the school yard name calling that has been going on here for the last couple of days, so apologies to anyone that may have already clarified this earlier).
Not that I think it will make any difference to the outcome whether Stevens plays or not. Yass really should make amends for the semi-final loss a couple of weeks ago and towel up Gungahlin.
However, having said that, old habits do die hard. So the very strong possibility still remains that, if it's close, the Yass boys will lose the plot and throw it away through poor discipline (as they did the last time these two teams met).
While Gungahlin might not mind a bit of the behind the play knuckle, their coach runs a far tighter ship than our friend Southcab and their superior discipline could be the key - especially late in a close contest.
Given the events of their last meeting, expect there to be some fireworks again this weekend (to say the least)! My bet is that there will be twice as many visiting the tribunal next week.
As for a tip - it's really a case of the lesser of two evils as far as my personal opinion is concerned, but I hope Yass can win it. It'd be better for the sport if they could take home the prize. Certainly better than if a club with big-club-backing (i.e. massive coin behind them) were to take the cake. And wouldn't it be great to spoil a Jets premiership in both divisions?!!! :D

Shanefoss our club recieved an email last week i think thursday from david wark stating that the tribunal head phill thompson was informed on the night of the suspension that peter was to play in the div 3 prelimanary and therefore is able to count that as his 1 match so yes he is available for selection this week.As for the tighter ship you mention interestinly enough i have only had the 1 trip to visit those who no best on a tuesday night compared to my conterparts half dozen so i must get away with more.I hope not to be visiting them again this year but what happens happens and we will sure test a few.

Heres the question will stevo play in the thirds or the fours this weekend.?

Lets be real here, He will not play in the thirds and he was never going to play. It was only late last week when someone was on here from the Jets saying that he has said all year he dosen't want to play there. So that being said the jets must of lied at the hearing. However there would not be a club in the comp that would not use the same loop hole if they could.
So good luck to them.

Ok so we are mid way through the grand final week,
is there anyone willing to give some tips out with details of how the games will pan out??

Shanefos, I'd just like to clear up the big club backing bit. The Jets are not sponsored by the Gungahlin Lakes anymore and therefore received nothing at all from Ainslie this year. There is no 'massive coin' behind them and frankly never has been. The first grade players get paid twice as much as the reserve grade players, which isn't much as two times nothing is still nothing.

Well said Brycey, it amazes me how these rumours start!
