Our trade with the saints for 28 might have put off them bidding on Kako here too.

If we had pick 9 a bid comes before then for kako, now we have traded it out it has allowed a bid to come hopefully much later and put us in a better position for years to come. He wouldn’t have a clue of what opportunity cost is.

Heard someone say weeks ago that if you get an offer (almost) too good to be true early, you take it as clubs may get scared off on handshake agreements on draft night if players are still on the board.

this is what I didn't understand initially about the trade out. Kako in almost every early phantom draft / rankings saw Kako mid teens. Then got injured and all of a sudden he shot up the boards even without testing..
