DO NOTHING WITH ROSAAre we pivoting from SACK DODO to SACK ROSA less than a week into the trade period?
100% you could.
But realistically the only club who could help you in the situation of this bid is landing the 2 GWS picks and sacrificing one for Kako.
I’m proposing giving you a second for the bid and an F1 you can trade back in post bid and saving you a third rounder equivalent in points.
It’s highly unlikely you’re going up high enough before a potential bid which seems to be you requiring a pick in the 1-4 region based on Cals info today.
It was me.I think your clutchinf at straws with Rosa having a significant impact in 2 years at a WAFL club
Peels success has aligned with the fremantle alignment and them having a strong/healthy deep list. They always perform better in finals when they get their AFL listed players
You said built the list, which id say if your suggesting that then your playing a significant role/impactIt was me.
I also mentioned nothing about 'significant impact.'
Rosa has had 5 years to assess the list so where's my flag? Are we pivoting from SACK DODO to SACK ROSA less than a week into the trade period?
So when Rosa was hired at Peel, they said he "...will have a role overseeing all Men’s, Women’s and Community Football Programs at the club. While also providing the coaching, support staff and player's guidance and direction as to the management of training and game day activities. He will also be at the centre of recruitment, with a focus on building a strong culture and high standards amongst the playing group."You said built the list, which id say if your suggesting that then your playing a significant role/impact
Peels list is largely fremantle dockers
Because those later picks will get used up matching the Kako bid.
IN the event there is an early bid on Kako the only way to play it and still get a first round pick in addition to Kako is to trade out into next year, match the Kako bid (using up our 2nd round pick), and then trade our newly acquired F1 to get back in later in the first round.
A club with a pick in the 10-13 range might be a good candidate for something like that because the net effect is a free pick upgrade for someone in exchange for letting us get a first round pick.
There is a third option; which is moving up the draft order from pick 9. This proactively ensures we are scuppering any spiteful bids on Kako by the Saints. I prefer this proactive option rather than being reactive on draft night and hoping that the Dees/Dogs are up for that trade on the night. What happens if we line it all up and these other clubs pull out?
West Coast could be after more capital next year in an attempt to get Warner home.
Pick 9 and our F1 for Pick 3 is a good call imo.
I actually think we will finish bottom 4 next year, I also think we might lose a Draper to FA next year and end up with a compo First rounder anyway.
I would hand him over for a swap of F4s if they agreed to thatPerhaps we hope st kilda do not get a tall back and want laverde.
We then give them laverde for next to nothing and they do not bid on Isaac.
Cal seems to think they really rate him.
Mostly key forwards but I reckon a lot of them may end up key defenders aswell anyway. Very even spread of talent amongst them aswell
What are your thoughts on the Stingrays ruckmen? seems an extra midfielder with some numbers he put up this yearMostly key forwards but I reckon a lot of them may end up key defenders aswell anyway. Very even spread of talent amongst them aswell
Yeah Doherty is impressive his 20m wasn’t great but hard to argue his mobility on the field. He certainly plays like an extra mid as I believe he had a huge growth spurt. What are your thoughts on the Stingrays ruckmen? seems an extra midfielder with some numbers he put up this year
any calls you like late?
Sims looks better in the ruck than forward. Lacks some forward craft and is more dangerous on lead.
Agree mostly, but would be fine with taking 1 of Armstrong or Shanahan to pair with Caddy. The other 5 or 6 list spots we need to fill, the players we select should be covering1 or 2 of our deficiencies around ball use, running ability, footy iq and forward pressure. No talls! Fast smalls!
All those second rounders will get eaten up by kako. No offence but looks like you will end up with him and that’s about it. You’ll have a good hand next year because I reckon Melbourne will fall off a cliffOK, now it seems we are moving pick 9
So, I am hoping J. Whitlock slides to 28 and 31 we look at Cooper Hynes- great power runner with a quick burst I've heard.
These two with Kako and Nguyen would be a solid draft.
