Now that AD gone, good picks others, bad picks Adrian

Too hard to ascertain who had influence previously vs now. This off season is clearly defined era without him. We can now differentiate BD AD. Before departure and After departure.

It's not like the recent seasons are different to most of his tenure. Some good work done, without obvious immediate superstars acquired.

I agree thats the best way to differentiate

He still had significant impact at the draft table

He was involved in the trade swap with cats, may have meant we ended with a completely different player like Osullivan

He had spoken with Caddy, he commented on his work potentially as an extra bow of being stringer like onball as being exciting ect. He loved his extroverted personality ect

Everything pre this draft had Dodoros hands on it. I was also told the plan was to have him stay around much longer than he did

No just the facts. Tsatas was RFK as well and that has a question. The fact is I have never said Dodoro was totally shit. Have always said he was middle of the pack but his failure was he could not hit a few drafts in a row with 3 or 4 good picks and he was often too smart for his own good by drafting blokes to turn into something else for example players he wanted to turn into midfielders. If you want a midfielder then just draft one. We also never ticked off competitor / leader as an important box.

You need a better source.
Yes he was expecting to be around longer but he had limited input to the last two drafts. Ask anyone who goes to a lot of under 18 footy. You have to actually turn up and watch to have input.
RFK as head of recruiting has been running the draft show for the last two.
Dodoro was the talking head.

Did Dodoro ever draft a single player that he didn't say could also turn into a midfielder?

Hes missed some and hit some

Plenty of other clubs draft players to be something else

Fantasia, Redman ect have worked

One of the greatest players of all time which sortve kicked started the change in positions was Fyfe, who was fwd only and turned onballer very quickly

We never drafted Fyfe so that is totally irrelevant. If you think he was good then good for you.

Sure, but he was instructing on the type of player at each spot in the draft

And also instrumental in the trade up

I dont think he had no input like your suggesting

Its not, because it shows it can work elsewhere at clubs that play deep in finals. It happens everywhere

People make out like it was a revolutionary Dodoro thing that didnt work at all. I showed it did work for a few at our club and many other cases elsewhere show that it can be done successfully

I think we have a fairly similar position on him. Id have him above average i think, not the best, not the worst

Alot of things working against and still for the club, lets see if change means a different result as many here are suggesting it will because Dodo bad

It wouldnt even be outlandish to say he was wasnt flexability before flexability became popular and important
