I got both.

Cloke because i believe he is up for a big year, and he averaged 75 in the preseason games which is pretty good considering what others averaged. I love how he leads up the ground and his kicks to handball ratio is like 100:1. So despite his small possession games he can easily get 100+ points without doing to much.

Porplyzia is a dead set bargin. It seems as though he has moved into the midfield/forward and has had a very good preason. At his price your crazy not to have him.

Hope that helps.
Sorry it wasn't a

him

or

him

question i was asking lifelike a question.

sorry.

Everyone on here should seriously start looking at their teams, and thinking, oh fleck that looks like everyone else's team on BF.

For gewds sake start getting some different players in, 4 or 5 uniques that haven't been blabbed up.

Cool. I can see how it would work getting someone like Bartel. I have a lot of cheap midfielders and will be upgrading primarily in that area.

I really want Porplyzia, he could come in for Hall or Burton I guess. Can't really find anyone outside the 7 i have in defence. i could get hampson as a reserve or i could upgrade one of my mids. Theyre too cheap to get anyone worthwhile though. Maybe houli to boak.

I went through some of the old threads and it seems 13-15 players stay throughout the 22 rounds. I can see about 13 in my team that I can see staying for 22 rounds. How is everyone else going in that area?

Is it worth simply sacrificing the 2nd emerg ruckmen by dumping a 72K rookie in their and using the money elsewhere.

I can't see the player in that position increasing enough to upgrade and they probably won't make it into the 22.

I'm thinking the same. I think 2-3 uniques is good. My mate prides himself on it.

I can't find anyone in defence. The midfield is wide open. I can see 2 there.

The forward line has about 1 but is very high risk. My mate failed with him last year.

I think I'll be getting one from Melbourne and one from Adelaide.

Edit: Damnit Arnie why did you have to die! T2 is such an awesome film.

I can see 14 of my 22 staying and possibly another 1/2 depending on form.

And my number of unique picks are 2/3. Had some others but had to change around to fit others in.

That's the theory for me. 14 stay unless injured. 2 hopefuls to get to a level to stay. 6 on the field will need to be upgraded and will support that with 6 rookies traded(excl rucks). Obviously buffer trades for injuries.

Unique for the sake of unique is silly IMO. A good unique player will be very popular very soon. Matt Priddis anyone?

It's all about GUNS. Everybody has them, but the number of them varies. The also-rans are extremely important because rookie + also-ran = gun but don't try to pick different players for the sake of it. Pick the best players and don't worry if they are unique or not. If Jimmy Bartel got injured, he would be unique pretty quickly; think he's still worth getting?

It's a fair point. If you have Priddis from the start then you save a trade. If you have a team similar to the ones posted on here then you're going to finish with them. Slight alterations can see you ahead of the pack. It's a game of risk.

Obviously I would pick an injured Jimmy Bartel because he is unique .

You are right but I think in some positions/situations you should pick uniquely. Midfield is the main position because of the amount of players to select. Obviously, you wouldn't select a Schammer/Sherman etc. just because everyone has Stevens.

Fair enough. Stevens is a must get and you wouldn't pick anyone else.

I'm think about Boak. Similar to Pendelbury of last year for me. 2nd year but in a far better midfield.

Does he have any other string to his bow... could he drift forward instead of going to the bench? Maybe Gibbs is closer.
