Not just his oppinion mate, trust me Chad is a key to any side... You need chad cornes.....i know he is only 1 player but he is head and shoulders above all the other backs

Mate; good to see your passion but having 2 good players is better then Chad. IMO i would rather have Heath Shaw and Brad Symes, both being bargains and together will get more points then Chad and a cheapy. If you are willing to spend that amount on him.. go ahead.. he will do great things for you. Not having Chad Cornes is the end of DT. IMO i would rather spend that amount of money (439,600) on someone like Cross, Thompson, Hodge, Ablett, Kerr and so on who will pick up more points then a deffender and are cheaper/same price. Not saying anything bad mate but just saying NOT having Chad Cornes is the end of DT.

i could buy the 7 next best backs IMO except chad and i'm sure i'd still beat monty's ranking last year.

in case you dont have any idea about dt, prices are made up from there average last year, hence if you buy chad u lose cash elsewhere.. hence you dont NEED him

I've got Bowden at the moment, but I'd ideally like to have them both. I just can't find the money though.
I've toyed with the idea of downgrading Bartram to an 83k rookie then swapping Bowden with Cornes, although that might leave me a little light on a little further into the season, as I'm already starting one of Bird and Palmer.
I could also trade Cox for McIntosh and upgrade Birchall, so it really raises the question of Cox + Birchall v McIntosh + Cornes.
Bloody decisions.

The guidelines I followed this year:
1) Cox is a lock. Choose him no matter what. If you are hard-pressed for cash, downgrade another player, but keep Cox
2) Chad Cornes is worth it. Keep him at all costs.
So I made my team with these things in mind. I basically structured my team around them. Those two positions were non-negotiable.
So I can understand that it will now be difficult for you to fit in Cornes without doing a major reshuffle.
But I do believe it is worth it.
fwiw, I have both Cornes and Bowden.

OK, so in the rucks, Coxxy is the king. Everyone knows this and it is not in dispute.

However consider this:-

Jeff White has scored 3912 points in the last 2 years, not missing a game.

Dean Cox has scored 3587 points in the last 2 years, missing 8 games.

Rookies playing those 8 games (av 40) for Cox score 320 points, total now 3907 points.

Based on this over the past 2 years Cox and White have provided the same value, is Cox really worth the extra 60K?

thats all good but the main factor is consistency...

Cox is more consistent and will be less likely to have games which end up earning him 50 DT points...

Thats will probably be a positive for his DT scoring, HBF's get a ton of the ball and will get more marks.

interesting read that...its look like most of the richmond backline would have a rebound role...

They are all rebounding players but im not sure which one of those would be loose..

I don't see Mcmahon's role at the cub he should be the "rebound man" and Newman should be in the midfield but loooks lke that wont be the case...
