How important is it to start with some cash in the coffers? Do i upgrade Beau Waters to bowden and start with next to nothing or do i keep Waters and have an extra 70 odd grand in my bank to help facilitate any early trades?

That's what i am doing i downgraded Bowden to Milburn because i had nothing just so i can have that extra 50,000 + i think Milburn will come close to Bowden's average this year anyway.

The brains trust seems to be in here..

Having problems with these last little dilemmas...

J.Bowden and Aker

OR

C.Newman and R.Murphy

i prefer the first option, and by a bit aswell

i think aker will be up on his output from last year, 72 i think. he'll definatly go better that that and Bowden over Newman any day. Any day.

Well, I've got absolutely nothing left. No thoughts, no theories, no discussion points, no ideas.

Can someone please bring on tomorrow night so we can talk about "why aren't Gamble and Pfieffer playing" and "who will I pick now".

Can't wait until next Tuesday for the "Who should I trade" posts to kick in.

it'll be a long year if your choosing players like that mass

just balancing out the team mate...what do you mean players like that:confused:

Bowden
Newman
Aker
Murphy

dnt think there is too mujch wrong there considering other decisions ive seen such as N.thompson or D.Bradshaw or B.Vince

okay i agree with vince and thompson..but i thought bradshaw could be a great cash cow, especially playing in the forward line.

I accidentally posted this message in the wrong thread, so I'll just post it here as it suits this discussion more.

What do people think of Gilbee? I know he's mainly a SC player and rare to see him in a DT team, but for about $340k, and he'll probably average a consistent 80+, I think it's quite worth it. When compared to players like Birchall, he is more proven, and I can't see Birchall averaging anything much higher than 80 esepcially with Guerra taking points away and all the other Hawthorn guns.

I think youll find Birchall is a player on the way up and has steadily been improving each year.He will outscore Gilbee this year and i would rather have him over Gilbee all day long

Little off topic but last poster - fabregas is a legend.

Back to the topic at hand, what do you guys think about starting a defender like proud, taylor, s.selwood, thompson etc (or I'd appreciate you naming me one :)) over starting someone like nicoski who may only average 60 or so, then using that (roughly) 120,000 to upgrade another player, like for example in my side upgrading pearce to cross/kerr and upgrading steve johnson to chapman.

Quite a bad explaination but if you can work it out i'd love the advice. Thanks.
