Again, that's only your opinion. I recall prior to Evolution, you were praising Live 2, when a consensus rejected it. Also, the foundation of Evolution is still the same as AFL Wii or even AFL Challenge, which I and many others did not want a repeat of. The difference with Big Ant is they finally pulled off a Football game (on their first attempt) that was somewhat competent, and is still the bench mark. Your closed mind argument is like saying, "How dare you believe Mike Tyson would beat up an old granny...". It was easy to predict this would happen, when they had been chosen as a "balance sheet" alternative. I really did give them one final chance, and thought they would at least match Live 1, but they're still 100 steps behind it.

Mate got mine from jb hifi for $79, no idea why people are fronting a hungey at EB, I'd be mad too
Had to go to two stores but the first one told me where I could get it.
Every tackle on the AI is a free kick against and every tackle by the AI is a free kick for them and the contested marking seems impossible to win. I haven't played online so I don't know if it's just trash or if the AI cheats to the highest degree to add difficulty. It's not fun either way, and if I drop it down just 1 difficulty level the AI won't score for the entire game

Largely because they haven't worked out how to mark yet and are disappointed that there are a lot of glitches and seemingly pretty obvious errors that should have been picked up in any testing done, but that could be rectified with a patch.
And Richo. Richo is awful.
OkIf you have reasonable expectations its fine. I've enjoyed it, best AFL game in 4 years

Evolution seems to have gotten a lot of promotion, much more so than the launch of AFL Live and AFL Live 2, in fact more than any other AFL video game.
The graphics don't seem that much better than AFL Live 2, and the kicking animation seems just as jerky and unrealistic.

One interesting part about that video is that they said when you get the "good" timing your player will nudge the opposition away from the ball. So people thought you had to actually bump them, that's not the case and that's not what the AI is doing, you just have to mark at the correct moment. Might change the way some people play.

For marking I've found that positioning and engaging your opponent with L helps big time. Have to be as close to the front and centre of the circle, and these guys have it right, hit Triangle/Y a beat before the circle goes white, you should start your animation.
Spoiling with the R stick is so so so much easier and has more control than the L2/Triangle combo.

It's so frustrating how if you tackle the AI and the ball comes out it's play on, but if the same thing happens to you it's called for a throw every time.
Or when you tackle, it is a free against you for push in the back or high.
