I remember him tearing Live 2 to shreds (and probably rightfully so) when it came out but if Evolution is good surely he'd only be happy

We just need some real gameplay footage to see what we're exactly getting. I'd prefer that over a "trailer" any day of the week.
Yeah I was thinking the other day that Ross will have egg on his face big time if Evolution turns out okay.

Yes it's from a developer who is competition, and yes he'd like the license, but BigAntStudios is a big fan of footy, and I'm sure would love a good AFL video game as much as the rest of us.
Hot mess? DBC 17 is excellent.

I prefer a game where I can watch a replay without the game crashing but if you don't mind that I guess it's playable.

It's a confirmed issue by the developer that's still working on a patch months after release because their first patch only focused on not making career mode not crash after 1 game and their second one only focused on not having 3 duplicates of every player running around during career mode. So the next one might fix the myriad of confirmed issues in the game. Due at the end of April.
Bowling is fun though if the game let's you set the field which is a 50/50 process. That's an improvement. Rest of the game outside the customisation stuff which is still a bit iffy is a step back or the same.

Don't get me wrong gameplay is the most crucial element but I hope in career mode we can see what the players look like before we draft them. I don't think I can handle picking a 90 overall albino with grey hair. Full exposure too appearance and height/weight will be great. I've got my fingers crossed wicked witch may have finally delivered.

I hope that there's a separate AFLW "mode" (maybe like a female career mode) and that you can make AFLW players too. That would a nice surprise. Of course, I doubt there is, which is also fine.

If there are any 90 rated draftees I will be disappointed. That was a bit annoying for me in Live 2, rookies were OP

Whatever WW produces, Big Ant would hypothetically be far further along with a 3rd game. So the point, while slightly melodramatic, is pretty valid. AFL gaming would be in a better place if Big Ant never lost the rights.
I think everyone wants Evolution to be playable, but I don't think that would be egg on Ross' face at all.
