If the Cats try to take Easter Monday to Geelong, we should ask the AFL to switch our annual opponent to Carlton.?= bye?
There’s word the cats game will be their home game. They really do want their cake and eat it?
The networks want itNot sure that twilight Sunday is prime time. Sunday night maybe.
Find it funny the AFL coming out and whacking Hinkley with a fine for what he did - yet will freely use that moment as a marketing tool to promote that game
Fwiw fk Ken but it is ironic.
Can the AFL pls for once get the fixturing of the rounds before and after the Easter Monday game right for once also. Recall last year Collingwood playing the Thursday night, us playing Easter Monday and then playing each other in gather round. Same thing going to give the cats a leg up this year

Also, the fact that it's a bonus home game for Port. Gather Round is a disgusting exercise in favouritism toward the two Adelaide teams.
To be fair, we were always going to play Port in Adelaide. Whether it was Gather Round or not potentially means another MCG gameTravelling north for opening round into an Adelaide team for gather round and its starting to look like a tough fixture already.
Prime time brings its own challenges. Hopefully we are up for it. (An injury free pre season would be a flying start).
They're not. It's one of the few games they'll want at the G.If the Cats try to take Easter Monday to Geelong, we should ask the AFL to switch our annual opponent to Carlton.
The fact it is in Gather Round means one extra game with away game disadvantage. To be fair, we were always going to play Port in Adelaide. Whether it was Gather Round or not potentially means another MCG game
Iron sharpens iron.So within the first 5 rounds we will get Sydney away( R0 ) , Port away (gather round) and Geelong (Easter Monday)
In the same period Carlton will play Richmond (opening round) , West Coast (gather round ) and North on Good Friday.
I feel we are going to be really screwed with the fixture .
At least we will be prime time scewed
Only if matched up against an SA team - which we have next year for the first time. The fact it is in Gather Round means one extra game with away game disadvantage.

The AFL simply will not let a marquee game be played at Geelong on a public holiday when the MCG is sitting there. If the Cats try to take Easter Monday to Geelong, we should ask the AFL to switch our annual opponent to Carlton.
