Anyone put any premiership futures on?
Also have outrights with BetR last year $101 odds on: Sydney, Geelong and Melbourne. (with a few family member accounts )

Right now after Round 4, you would rather be on : Collingwood, Carlton and Melbourne I reckon as Top 3 Premiership chances. But its a long season, alot can change between now and September.

A favourable thing for the Crows draw in 2023:

Have the 'Gather Round' in Adelaide (13 games of 23 in SA), Play West Coast Eagles Twice, Play Hawthorn Twice, Play Gold Coast Twice, Play GWS Twice (i know they did lose them in Rd 1 but the Crows were the better side for most of that game). Also first few games, they were trying to get the chemistry with Rankine working.

The key stretch will be from Rounds 7-11. If they could somehow break with a 3-2 win loss there, that would be a pass.

Rd 7: Collingwood (h)
Rd 8: Geelong (a)
Rd 9: St.Kilda (h)
Rd 10: Bulldogs (MARS in Ballarat)
Rd 11: Brisbane (h)

You can get effective odds of $1.71 on either Jezza or curnow to win the Coleman. I can’t see it losing bar injuries to both players especially with lynch on the sidelines. What are peoples thoughts?

Getting involved at the bottom of the market on a $1.71 shot that won't pay out for months doesn't seem that great to me

Only 2 games behind now. Any team can beat anyone on their day it seems.

Brisbane @ 11 seem overs too.

Melbourne and Collingwood are very short.
Its wide open now, not much value for many sides but agree on Brisbane and Geelong now, both slight value.
Even Port who have a good draw and could get going.

I think teams coached by Ross Lyon are usually pretty well drilled. Dont think they would have lost too many admirers losing to Collingwood in Round 5.

Teams playing the Saints, will have to be prepared for a low scoring- defensive slog. Ive been impressed by the Saints defence. I think its up there with one of the best in the comps. Membrey, also is due to come back, he played this weekend- and when he gets back I can only imagine them getting stronger. Their performance without Jack Steele against the Pies, showed they can compete against the best of them.

And In Jack Higgins, they probably have a top 3 small forward in the comp as well. Struggling to think who is better than him right now, maybe Charlie Cameron, maybe Toby Greene and maybe Tom Papley.
