Been watching this thread for ages now (first post) and is one of my regular check ins everyday! So excited about this being released, every scrap of information is like a little step closer to getting the game... so soppy lol!! Thanks to Ross for all his info and even though I am an aussie in the UK I am so importing this game to play.

Anyway my PS3 name is pheonix_83
Xbox name is aussiephoenix83

add me so I can play some aussies especially in AFL when it comes out. Prob get PS3 version. Looking forward to more info soon!!

If I've experienced this right, Australia and Europe have almost the worst possible internet connection together? You may need to move back home buddy! Either that or figure out who else will be playing this game online overseas (I'm pretty sure there's a few in London, I know my brother's living there atm), and play them!

A question for Ross to do with the commentary aspect of the game.

In previous versions the commentary got very repetitive and annoying very quickly and it was also very limited in the range of commentary.

It was as if they spent an 5 minutes on recording commentary and thought that was enough.

Have you done anything to try and combat this in the new afl game or is there nothing you can do about it.

Judging from what ive read saying that they have recorded each name like 5 times to get a different emotion sounding in it id say commentary is a lot better

Here's hoping it is.

I seriously can not wait 2 months for this game.
I'm gonna do what Cartman did and freeze myself until the game comes out.

I asked ross a few times about numbers for created players and traded players and he keeps avoiding the question so i'm curious about that as well

I don't really avoid questions, I've posted 500+ times (I think) and I still need to run the company, travel OS once every two months at least (I'm off to the US again Feb 28) and also get games out too so it's reasonably random as to whether I will answer a question or not.

Whether I know the whole answer 100% at the time of posting will also determine whether I answer, if I don't then I have to go to the team and ask.

Also, I don't think about the poster when I answer a question either, I am not selective, I have answered questions from those who have posted absolute tripe(!) and those who are quite reasonable and balanced in their approach as well.

The other thing is I need to keep some things up my sleeve, I have been slapped a little when I go too far in revealing too much (and rightly so) :)

Alright i understand, calm down just thought you were dodging the question thats all.

Port Adelaide heritage top Ross? Come on! show us a Collingwood one! haha I'm rapt the clash top is in so thats cool for me would you care to answer the questions I asked in my last post?

Thanks

Ross i have a question regarding saved game slots for season mode, how many different seasons will we be able run and save simultaneously?
i ask because with the create a team option i would love to have a few different seasons running at the same time, i.e. west coast with a standard season, west coast with a created season using a created GWS as the 18th team, playing as my created team (Tassie) as the 18th team, etc.
AFL 07 allowed up to 4 different seasons to be saved at a time which i found pretty pointless without a create a team/create a season option as i only ever used the team i barracked for.

Ross, once you've finished with the first game, how long will you take off, and then what would be a rough estimate for the time scale of each next release?
Would it be like one years worth of work which releases around the same time (In this case April) as FIFA does in September each year?

Alright i understand, calm down just thought you were dodging the question thats all.

I'm calm, just thought I'd let everyone know the process (or non-process :) ) in answering questions on here.

Calm down everyone.
Would it really make a difference if you got a post today that said the release date was the 21st of April compared to if you got a post in 4 weeks telling you the same thing?

Regardless, you would all still be bitching about the date and asking Ross to change it to make the release earlier.

Be greatful for the info you have been given.
Stop hounding the poor bugger.

And unless you have been given 1 month to live, the release date isn't going to make a major difference. You're all gonna get to play it and you're all gonna have an opinion on it when you're done.

So until then, lets drop the crap and wait patiently.

I only have a month to live, I want it now... (jkz! lmfao) xD

I agree with Knee Cow tbh, people seem to be rather ungrateful when it comes to everything Ant's given us thus far (which is probs alot more then he was supposed to, lol) :)

We have, for 3 years. I wasn't hassling him either..I was just showing how eager I am to get my hands on this game :)

Fair enough.

But we've had to put up with 10 threads of everybody telling us how excited they are about this game!

I'm excited too, and that's why I jump on here every day to see if the great man Ross has put any more info down for us.
The only problem with that is I have to scroll through 10,000 posts of absolute WANK to get that info.

I suggest we open a new thread called 'How excited are you about the new AFL game?' and then we can put a poll at the top to determine everyone's reaction.

Then you can all troll to your hearts content.

I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking this.
