ross and big ant have done a fantastic job. what a AFL game needed was great gameplay online and good graphics all those things are in the game. be a pro franchise and other stuff can come later it's not fifa at all it's better give the guy a break.

With players like Pav and Goodes, can you chuck them chf, chb, rr and still have decent stats, seens as players like this can be played anywhere on the field?

I can't believe a new AFL game is 12 days away. I remember about 2 years ago reading this web page devoted to what people wanted in a new AFL video game. Some dude wrote all these idea's like "creating players and allowing them to go out and hit on chicks and get drunk and stuff," and I thought "oh my, there is no god."
Just saying, it's weird that we're so close.

Yes, players are rated for each position. I saw the system where if you sub out say, CHF, then in a column next to the player ratings column, there is the "adjusted player ratings". So, if your full back is rated 80, then in the next column it may say 65 or something.
Your utilities like Hodge, Pav, Goodes, Goddard etc will not have a large variation, possibly only sacrificing 2 or 3 points off their player ratings in each position that they are good at in real life.

Ross said that EVERY player has been rated in EVERY position so I'm sure these utilities will have good stats in multiple positions.
Goodes is CHF for the Vics and CHB for the Indigenous All Stars.
Don't really see why dedicated servers would be a big issue as it will mostly be aussies. p2p should be fine.

If you could make a better AFL game then please, go right ahead, I'm sure we'd all love to play it and give our ideas of it afterwards.
Your last comment is absolutely hilarious...Ross has got the memo and has made a decent AFL game. Yes it lacks features, but who's the person that's telling us that? Ross! He's not sugar coating the game by saying this will have everything you've ever wanted and be so feature packed the game barely fits on the disc.
This is a basis for which future versions will be built on and from what I can see they have started by getting the biggest feature (and still again the feature that EVERYONE stated was all they wanted to be good before the game was announced and not long after) to be the best and that is the gameplay.

Now I know there is no ingame online sharing of rosters but will it possible for example on ps3 to save the roster file to USB and then share it over the net, like in pro evo soccer?
I'd say most people are more 'concerned' about the game than Glenno's kid. Sure, I wish him the best and all, but out of the two, I will certainly be thinking about AFL Live more than some dude's wife giving birth.

1. Will there be dynamic weather( ie overcast with on and off showers during the game) ?
2. Ross mentioned earlier in the thread that in the bounce was killed was this just for the gameplay tests or was the random bounce removed all together ?
3. Will we have the ability to tap the ball infront of ourselves instead of picking it up off the ground ?

1. Almost certain that this is not the case.
2. The gameplay tests were the final game except for a few infringements (running over the mark etc) turned off. The bounce isn't totally killed, it will be quite random at times, but is slightly nerfed in comparison with real life.
3. No. That's one to add to the "a cool feature to add to the depth of the gameplay but is not essential for a first version" list.
