No your not, I mirror it from my iphone to my apple TV, works great and for $90 for the year it is brilliant
Have you actually been able to mirror this year? I could do it last year, but this year can only get the audio onto my TV through appleTV. From what I read on Whirlpool, it seems like the AFL Live app this year specifically blocks the ability to use AirPlay to get it onto your TV, unless you're jailbroken and can install a work-around.

I had it for about 15 minutes until I tried to get it to stream on my laptop so I can hook it up to the tv, to find out it only streams to tablets and mobiles. I'm not paying $90 a season to watch footy on a 3 inch screen over my wifi, what an absolute joke. Cancelled my trial immediately

and even when it becomes available on a laptop like the nrl app they restrict screen sizes and disable external monitors. of course they tell you that AFTER you sign up.

My understanding is that the afl live pass works fine on your phone or through a tablet but you try running it through a smart tv wirelessly or with an hdmi cable and it either doesn't work at all or the quality is shite. Full replays however, also avaliable through afl live, work fine.

Works for me. Watch the game at the pub, and if my team gets up, unlimited replays on the big screen at my house.

I use AFL live on my phone and stream via HDMI cable from phone/tablet to the TV with zero issues. Every game live and replays on demand - best 90 bucks I've spent all year!

The AFL app has gotten progressively shitty over the last couple of seasons. Last year in particular it was absolutely horrid to try and use.

The AFL is well behind the times with technology and will continue to be as long as big fat wads of cash roll in from Telstra and 7.

They ****ed with it to try and stop people streaming it to their TV sets and it caused a lot of issues with the app and they refused to fix it in any timely fashion, i think after July it was somewhat stable, but pretty shit for the money they are asking.

The quality is kind of crap though to stick on a big screen TV.

Asking for a credit card for a free trial is really f***en sneaky in itself
I put the code in for the 4 week free pass 2 weeks ago but during this (second) week they charged me $4.99. Today I could only get the 1 minute preview before they told me to again sign up so they've lost one customer and if they think I'll be paying the $4.99 this year for the games that aren't on FTA like I did last year they've underestimated my pig-headedness - it won't be happening.

It worked ok last year after the NAB cup. Air play to Apple box.
For same price as Foxtel, was able to get 300G data, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Xfinity.

I dont get it. Foxtel with the sport package is about $50. That isn't breaking the bank. It really isn't. No need for extra cables, no need for laptops or ipads or subscriptions to the basket case AFL website. Just heaps of footy in glorious HD, with decent commentary, slick graphics, better camera angles, no cross promotion and minimal ads.

For me its a no brainer.

Seriously, you all clearly have the internet, you're not on the poverty line. Stop moaning and shell out $50 for foxtel.
