Everyone just remember that every year these sort of setups tend to fail or are very, very average when it comes to the first preseason game. Just like now everybody is itching to try this new configuration and no doubt it will again struggle to handle the load.

Long story short: Don't expect the first game to work for you. Give it a chance over a number of games.

Based on what's available from the AFLW streams.

You can choose to watch 'live' or from the beginning,

Don't see any qtr selection though.

That was quite a nice feature.

Have funds. No idea why. Have emailed them waiting for a response. Managed to buy a month of the Private Internet Access. Just stuck on this glitch now. Have already connected to the Private Internet Access.

You don't need to have PIA enabled when you're signing up to Watch AFL - only when you try to watch it.

Maybe try to disable PIA and see if it makes a difference?

Your bank will definitely block any payments if they see them coming from another country completely randomly.

How about the ability to download a whole match? Sometimes I want to download and then watch when I'm on the go and don't have capacity to stream. Any thoughts on if that will work?

No you don't need anything else

GetFlix is a SmartDNS service that can be used instead of a VPN. Rather than running a VPN application like you do for PIA you need only change your DNS settings. The GetFlix website has detailed instructions on how to do this

Can't get normal Foxtel and wanted to get this for the coming season. What I've heard is:

- It's unreliable
- Games aren't in HD
- Ch7 games use the Ch7 feed instead of Fox (ads)
- Can't record anything

If the above is correct it's not worth it.

had foxtel play all season last year. can confirm all the above

as said above, HD has started for all sports channels except for Fox Footy (or footy play or whatever they call it)

It's probably been covered somewhere in the thread, but I'm short on time and lazy (mainly lazy). On the Live Pass app, is the AFLw and JLT Series unmetered on Telstra or is it only the season proper that is unmetered?

On twitter some Foxtel bloke says they will have HD on Footy Play by the start of the season hopefully, IF you are using a Telstra TV dongle.
