Rumour AFL not happy with Tex criticism of MRO. Sanction could loom.

With the ongoing criticism of the stand rule, the dissent rule and now the MRO, this is looming as a sh**show of a year for the AFL

Fortunately for them, they’ll have a new CEO by the end of it. Perfect opportunity for that person to push the reset button and turn these issues around

That person needs to do that
Gale I believe would do this. Just obviously guessing here, but lets not forget his origins. He knows and understands footy.

My thought exactly. Also I think given that Richmond have won three flags, he won’t be seen as trying to benefit “his” club and would be seen as someone who knows what success means for clubs as well as the competition as a whole

In the A league kicking studs up would be a straight red. The Ref would move so fast to give it they'd basically teleport.

But in the AFL, nah kicking someone studs up is fine, who cares about the intent or the fact that Tex is simply lucky he wasn't injured.

Plus a two game suspension

Only applies to the 10 VFL clubs...

I know there are others around, but I thought I would make a gif anyway. Interesting thing I found while editing was the second view (sniper 2) from a different angle has been doctored on the AFL website and has frames removed. Effectively diminishing the perceived impact.

He won't get a ban, but he will be reprimanded and a fine, which he should. But he should be happy, because he took one for the team and called out the AFL's pro richmond bullshit, no doubt trying to pander to their 100k fake members who come and go more than an Elizabeth baby daddy. Now the AFL has no choice but to correct itself after the media joined Tex and echoed his sentiments.

Why should he?
I personally think he/afc should fight any sanctions handed down.

That first gif is so clear - pulls his knee to his chest, then kicks out at his leg.

Could have caused a serious knee injury if he connected. Scum.

Tex has had an ACL before, its not so farfetched to suggest that the kick at the right place could have ended Tex's career.

When the AFL passes these two off as "nothing to see here", this is where you end up.

Yet they are more concerned about players having a different opinion to them.
