Too hard at the footy, constantly first first the ball, held tackles, helped and protected each other,so disciplined and play the right side of the ground when in attack and defence.Noosa just far too good. Why you would kick against a 6 goal breeze in a Grand final is dumbfounding.Bova couldn`t beleive it,actually thought Palmys captain was kidding.Game over at 20 minute mark of 1st qtr.Noosa just had winners everywhere.I liked the game of mcKinntrick, matthews and brewsters opening qtrs were great whilst bova, duke and boydle in defence also very good.Durdin, brauer and bailey among best also IMO.could name another half dozen at least.Thought Knight again was good for Palmy,Round too slow and ineffective and that full forward with the headband unable to provide any focal point at all.Feel for drake a bit.Hes a star in this comp` but had to fill holes everywhere.Maroochydore did a terrific job in hosting, especially in the conditions.Didn`t think the crowd was as big as 2 years ago and definitely not the amphitheatre that grange provides but a very memorable day.Celebrations simmering up here.Agree with SMY,one of the most disciplined well drilled outfits I`ve seen at noosa.

Yeah, thought I saw it right!! Lost the game there IMO. Reckon McKinntrick was BOG NB.

There is no excuse for reacting to Tromphy, would have thought after playing against him for a number of years (coaches included) we would have learnt our leasson. Was at the huddle at 3/4 time and could only hear trash being spoken by both camps, but in fairness to the situation wouldnt know wulf if i fell over him, who is he? Would once again like to applaud the manner in the way the noosa boys celebrated, Not once did they rub the pbc boys nose in it, infact the was more pats on the back and arms around dejected pbc boys. Class act by Noosa, and starts at the top, so no surprises they are as successful club! Obviously a lot of respect for the boys, a few of them played together in last years rep squad so good to see some humility and grace shown when they had every right to let them know all about it, Well done.

Won the 2nds comp B&F this year actually Kwhit at the ripe old age of 36 or something like that!

could anyone give me some information on daniel hawkins? Played at coolangatta.

Quality player, think he is 30+ now but still class. Has played for QLD and a lot of State League footy, been Cooly's best player for last 3 years. Plays best off half back, long kick and damaging with ball in hand. Still has a lot to offer.

Where you from cruising? Be a shame to lose a quality player from our comp, especially for Cooly.

Tiger G beat me to it!!

To add to the above clip. I am a member of the Mayne Footy Club and although the senior squad went through without a win we believe that we have built a base to grow from. The reserves side performed better than past seasons and with the 18's just missing out on further finals we have a strong young group coming through.

Mayne has been the butt of a few jokes on this forum and without a win probably deserve it. The call now goes out to guys who want to come have a game and be part of a growing club. Obviously finishing last is not the best fun but we can't get any worse and we believe that wins next year will happen. Mayne is a strong club but lack a few of the key players required to get them over the line.

If interested in coming down and checking it out please message me for further info. Age is no barrier. I'm 34 next year and believe some of my best footy is still to come.

Hope to hear from some guys soon.

Seen alot of 'dougie' at southport and cooly. He played a major role in three flags with southport and played alot of state footy. Has plenty of natural talent and plays above his years. He is only 27 maybe 28 but has been in high quality senior footy for a long time! Won coolys b&f last three years

I coached against Mayne this year in the 18's and if their top age kids hang around then they could do ok next year. i have also heard of an U18 kid from another club who maybe stepping out for the Tigers next year. Big call i know but this kid can seriously play. If it happens i for one will watch with interest as i have seen his continuing development over the last 3 years.

Gee Maroochydore are up and about early.

pre season social touch games, pre season training calender out (official training is starting in 2 weeks, assistant coaches appointed, player recruitment well underway.

also heard they are having 1s, 2s, 3rds and Div 1 18s and Div 2 18s.

Amazing effort if they can pull that off, going from having no 18s to 2 teams in 12 months is a credit to the people who run the 18s at Maroochydore.

Oooh a pre season training calender, thats sounds exciting! And training to start in 2 weeks, nothing but a wank as AFL teams dont even start this early and im sure you will be on here saying something like u had 40- 50 there on the first night, great vibe around the place, balls whizzing around, everyone in good shape. Lets see how many u got there in mid June when its alot colder and your prob occupying the bottom 5 on the ladder. Thats great about your 18's and i dont like bagging your club, but sometimes you leave us no choice! I hope your not their official spokesmen!

It's certainly an improvement on last year anyway SP!!:D

We'll take small steps - apparently in the black for the first time for a while as well thanks in no small part to all that dirty Noosa money that came across the till a month back:p

U18's - 2 sides is the goal. Hopefully it is achieved. Again better than scratching around for players in Feb like last season. Was the major +ve out of the year was the U18's really. Kent Weightman assisting with the senior club coaching too which should be a good bonus - smart footy brain.

As we all know, preseason springs hope eternal!! Just bc the Noosa boys still haven't stopped drinking.

How was the GF last weekend?

to start in 2 weeks is a big call, but i dare say it would be weight programmes etc this is when they have to start to reap any benifets, Delaney is a smart operator and wouldnt be doing the same things other clubs class as preseason training. never under estimate fitness being super fit will atleast give them a chance to hit the ground running by rd 1. good luck to them.

That is a great effort if you can field two under 18 teams in 2012.The club can only benefit from that both short and long term. Not much happening up here, everyone footied out.Have heard Noosa are not losing too many personel although that always the case this time of year.Reynolds a big chance to come back and hot on the heels of an ex maroochy captain and dual league b&f who is keen to join mills and bailey in the hope of finding a senior flag.See how we go!

Actually pretty tame on the drinking front smy. Most back at work on the tuesday. Is Kent bringing his son back, very good player with excellent footy smarts. Not sure about kent though. My mates tell me from mildura that he had to set the alarm clock early on most occasions and also heard he may have a touch of the ugly parent syndrome.Just what i`ve heard.fit in well at maroochy if correct

His time back then was a looong tim ago mate - people change and I'm sure the work he has done in recent years with local footy kids will hold him good stead. Been pretty well respected at power level anyway from what i'm told.

Whitey may have a few old scores to settle with some current / ex players (coaches) if he heads to Noosa... :D

If we do get 2 18's sides it will be a fantastic effort but I think the biggest issue could be the off field personnel in the end. Thats always hard as you know.

Big off field departure from the Noosa FC would be Ekky wouldn't it? He's going to be missed I imagine.

Go Cats!:D

going to be costly for noosa to pay his flights up every week, as from what I have heard Whitely is loving Melbourne life and isn't going anywhere for the next 12-24 months.
